Our home has a long, country driveway that offers seclusion and privacy. You are greeted by beautiful mature maple trees, a pastoral setting, and a vintage craftsman-style home. The land is 140 acres of woods and open meadows; also featuring large raised bed vegetable gardens, a babbling brook, wandering trails, breathtaking mountain views, and more. Our home offers every amenity you would need. It has been lovingly maintained and restored, and features beautiful sunny light from large windows, hardwood floors throughout, a new kitchen and baths, wood burning brick fireplace, 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sun porch, dining room and adjacent reading lounge. There is also a guesthouse with hardwood floors, bedroom, bathroom, living room, wood stove, and pool house underneath. We are ideally located 20 minutes south of Stratton Mountain and 15 minutes north of Mount Snow that both offer scenic golfing, world-class mountain biking, hiking, and boating. The Hermitage Club, which offers 4-season outdoor recreation, is located just 20 minutes south of our home. Historic Wilmington, VT is located just 30 minutes south that offers charming antique shops and restaurants.

Summary: This was one of the most amazing homes I’ve stayed in; we got to stay here during a snowstorm and it was like being in a Norman Rockwell painting! Catherine and Derek have made a lovely home that feels like you’re walking into your own home away from home. It’s quiet, secluded and makes you feel as though you’re far away from any of your troubles. It’s perfect for a group trip, family getaway, etc. There’s plenty of beds and the common areas are perfect for gathering by the fireside, having a coffe and good read, or playing games! Beautiful-would love to stay here again!

Summary: We had a great time at this property, with so much room in the yard for yard games and it was great to jump in the pool to cool off. The house had lots of room, plenty of beds and all the necessities. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Summary: This property and house are both beautiful. It was so easy to have a fun, relaxing vaca with a group here. Catherine is amazingly easy to coordinate with, the place is clean and comfortable, the location is so scenic, amentities are great, and house rules/directions are clear and wildly reasonable. Our group is still recovering from the heartbreak of leaving, and have already begun planning our next visit(s) to hang there during other seasons. Overall great experience.
