Summary: Lovely accommodation, perfect location. Shared bathrooms are always tricky but for the price point we were happy. Staff friendly and helpful.

Summary: Had a great experience from start to finish, check in was easy and we were given a free drink voucher on arrival by really friendly staff and the key to the room allowed us to come and go through a separate door after hours. The shared bathrooms were nice and clean and there was towels and shampo available. The beds were not the comfiest, but they were definitely fine, but the great price and great location as well as 15% of all food and drinks at the downstairs pub and restaurant more than makes up for that. I would definitely recommend this place for people with a lower budget that are still looking for a great accommodation that's close to the city.

Summary: It was certainly basic, which is fair enough considering the price, since the room was not en suite, but it suited us. The staff were most helpful, first of all allowing us to change our room from the second to the first floor (no lift, and we're not young), then bringing us a heater. We not only had a welcome drink, but also had 15% off our meal. There was a good choice (including non-meat options) for the meal.

Summary: A great budget stay in Ultimo but I hadn't realised the rooms didn't have en-suites. Having said that, the bathroom cubicles were spotlessly clean. Liked the traditional feel of the place but my room at the front was quite light with the floodlights and pub signage. And the air-con is at the front too and rattled on and off all night. I needed airplugs and an eye mask, which luckily I had.
