Positive: Overall a very relaxing few days. Hotel was next to the water with its own private "jetty". Restaurant was superb and all staff extemely friendly and helpful

Positive: Location was excellent, quiet with beautiful views with an easy walk into town to the restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel is of a really good standard with attention to detail. There are plenty of sunbeds / umbrellas out on the decking/ water platforms, it is a really beautiful terrace to sunbathe or enjoy a drink. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, very helpful and very accommodating. Breakfast is lovely and there is a good, varied menu for lunch and dinner.

Summary: A really lovely, enjoyable week in a beautiful setting with friendly, fun staff.

Positive: This charming hotel is one of the most relaxing and delightful places I have ever stayed. The town is geared up for Turkish tourists, not for Northern Europeans. So menus are not always available in English and hotel and restaurant staff do not all speak English. Food in most places is local Turkish, although you can find burgers and Pizzas if you really want to. And the local food is delicious! Lovely seafood and fabulous meze. The house is right on the seafront. Super helpful staff. But this is not a flash, soul-less five star. It is a quirky, individual place to stay, as if you are in someone's home. The place is spotlessly clean but some of the fittings, such as taps, are not super modern. Breakfast was superb. Eggs cooked to order alongside freshly baked Turkish bread and a different pastry every day. Plus a simple but delicious salad with cheese, olives, honey and conserves. I am going to miss this so much! Hotel restaurant was excellent - we ate there every other night so that we could compare with other places in walking distance. The setting was a delight, sitting right next to the sea as you dine! Tea and fantastic cakes arriving at your sunbed at 4pm was a very welcome bonus! After the first day or two we cut down the amount we ate at lunch to make room for tea. Room was very comfortable with lots of hot water when you needed it in the bathroom. Comfortable bed, lots of pillows and extra bedding in the cupboard. Bug screens on all the doors and windows kept out insects. The aircon was very efficient but we only used it on one night. Stunning view from our room out across the harbour, was wonderful to wake up to. Before going, I had wondered about how I would feel with people wondering about on the towpath behind the sunbeds. I need not have worried! You are far enough away not to be bothered. And at sunset the staff remove the sunbeds and put the tables out on the pontoon for dinner.

Negative: I found the steps on the ladder from the pontoon into the sea too difficult for my already injured feet. Most people had no problem. But I hear new steps are planned for next year! And I found another nearby ladder that I could cope with OK. The location of Losta Evi Sahil 2 is fairly close to the main town and harbour. So at night there is a great deal of music and nose. Losta Sahil Evi 1 might be a better bet if you find it hard to sleep in a noisy location as it is much quieter, as it is a little further away from the harbour. We had no problem and slept very well despite the noise! Last but by not means least, be aware that there are lots of cats and dogs roaming around loose around the harbour and town - just like everywhere in Turkey! Eating breakfast with a couple of kittens looking imploringly at you or trying to steal your cheese is new to me as a dog person. And then a cat arrives on your lap as you are lying under your sun umbrella! The animals provided us with endless entertainment and lots of cuddles. But I know some people might find it a challenge. We loved this place and shall go there again!

Positive: It was a wonderful stay. Highly recommend to others looking for a place in Selimiye. Great property right by the beach, it’s a boutique hotel with a few rooms so you get great facilities to yourself. I loved being able to get from my room to the beach in 2 mins. Great view from the balcony also a plus. Food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. Good variety of breakfast dishes and very fresh seafood. I will come again
