The accommodation is a ground floor fully equipped self contained property with hard standing parking area at the front. It is let on a self catering basis however the owner is on hand on the site to assist with any queries. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are all open plan and the French double doors open on to a pleasant balcony overlooking the pool area.
There are two bedrooms each with ceiling fans, double wardrobes and vanity units. The 2nd bedroom can be arranged as either 2 twin beds or a double bed to suit requirements. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge.
The bathroom is a modern facility with double wash basins, shower and bath.
Enclosed pool area with bar and bbq, patio, and outdoor furniture. The front of the property looks to the hills of St. John and the rear of the property faces the Atlantic Ocean, with a clear sea view and also towards the village of Marley Vale
Off street parking available. The property has a enclosed pool area ideal for relaxing in, having a barbecue or just enjoying the cool breeze from the Atlantic coastline which is visible from the property. A troop of monkeys may be seen at various times of the day playing in the trees nearby. Selection of reading material, games and DVD available suitable for all age groups. Babysitting service available by arrangement. A welcome pack is provided with basic requirements and a light evening meal may be provided on arrival by prior arrangement with the owner.
The monkeys pass by the property every day going to feed and again in the evening returning home. They often stop to play on the pasture at the rear of the property and are very entertaining to watch.
Owners Profile: After having visited friends living in Barbados we found we were coming back to the Island more frequently so decided to build a house here. We moved here on a more permanent basis upon completion in 2005. We used the local workforce to help build the property and many of these have now become our friends. So if you are in the village and mention you are staying with us, you are sure of a big welcome. Having worked in the Building Trade all his working life, Eric keeps the property up to a very high standard and has now become a bit of a tourist guide for our guests. Louise has worked in Local Government for over 24 years and was also a Magistrate in the UK. We have 2 sons, 2 daughters in law and 4 grandchildren who enjoy coming to visit not only us but our beautiful Island.

Summary: My family and I stayed for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Louise was a wonderful host and gave us daily advice about where to go & how to arrive there. She provided a very good start of provisions which we happily consumed! The property was just right: cool breezes & shade as well as sunny spots to enjoy the pool. We saw monkeys, sheep & hummingbirds daily. The beautiful, rugged coastline was a short walk away. There were a couple of beaches off the beaten track that were close to Louric. We could not have asked for more. Thank you Louise, we miss you and Barbados already!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment Both the apartment and surroundings were immaculate. The welcome pack was by far the best we ever received. Looking for Marley Vale on a map, the nearest geographic point is East Point lighthouse. There is a bus service, but really a car is necessary. We would recommend this apartment very strongly.

Summary: We stayed for 21 days loved our time here, it was away from the noise and crowds in the south and the west coast. The hosts are fabulous, was very surprised upon arrival with how well the fridge was stocked and how Louise and Eric made you feel at home right away. Would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Summary: From the moment we arrived in Barbados Eric was waiting for us at the airport with a friendly warm welcome. We couldn't believe the size of the welcome pack that was supplied. Never had time to use it first night as we were invited to tea . It took less than a day to feel that we were part of the family . Eric and Louise have a wealth of knowledge regarding places to visit and finding your way around. We were made to feel like a locals as we were invited to a few nights out and met some lovely people. If you wish to see the real Barbados and stay at a lovely comfortable apartment with nice views , lovely pool and plenty of space and most of all lovely people . This is for you. Summary: A roomy beach house with a garden pool and view of the sea. Great location with a small beach inlet five minutes walk from the house, as well as more wild Atlantic coastline. The owners are helpful and friendly and there is an easy relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.

Summary: Really enjoyable stay ideal for families. My family of 4 has 2 young children. The swimming pool and outdoor areas were ideal. Location of the property is great for both tourists areas and for exploring the island. Owners could not have helped us anymore and would reccomend this property to all

Summary: Stayed for 2 weeks. My family of 4 included a 6 year and a 10 month baby. This property is ideal for a break away with family. Swimming pool and the surrounding seating areas were outstanding and we spent some much time there as a family. We hired a car and the property is a great location / base for both exploring the island and visiting the south coast or the capital Bridgetown. Could not have asked anymore of the hosts Louise and Eric. Really helpful and went out of their way on several occasions for my young family. We will be back to visit again soon
