Summary: Booked this place for 12 days mostly because of the idyllic pictures of the pool area; so was very disappointed to find pool full of dirty brown water with algae floating on top. We informed owners immediately, who seemed surprised and informed agent. Nothing happened for a week, then a guy turned up. Pool was still not useable when we left. Now that may have been a one off unfortunate experience for us at end of season, but we had been assured the pool was still in use before we booked. We knew we would have to drive to get anywhere, but we had imagined some lazy days by the pool and the keen swimmers amongst us would have used it daily. Also pool area was unkempt with weeds (which were evident throughout complex) and broken furniture, so the place had not been tended for some time. There was a pile of rubbish at bottom of drive and we had a frustrating time getting complex gates to open with the remote. When we arrived, there was an airer full of washing in living area which turned out to be our bedding so we had to make up the beds. There were not enough large towels for the 4 of us. Bathroom was big and clean and shower had good pressure with plenty of hot water. Bidet not useable though due to trickle of water from taps. Bedrooms are a decent size & kitchen/living area was quite well equipped: ignition on gas hob didn’t work but oddly began clicking as we left. TV didn’t work either. The terrace is small with delightful views, but you would be hard pushed to get more than 4 people comfortably around table, and if the air con in bedrooms is on, it is noisy and blowy there. We were misled by the internet symbol; there is no WiFi so the internet is at your own expense . The owner has since changed the listing to that effect, which was not so when we booked. We loved Castelsardo & Sardinia in general; nearby beaches are beautiful, though cost is around 10 euros for sun beds. Unless you drive, or take an extremely expensive taxi, you are stuck in the apartment for the evening. You can walk to the ‘local’, though is a dark, slightly up hill walk back. I can recommend Castelsardo, and despite that the owners kept in touch with us throughout re our concerns, I would not recommend this apartment.

Summary: The location of the apartment is great for exploring the nice long beaches in Badesi (Li Junchi or Mimose) or some nice snorkeling bays like Cala Canneddi, Cala Sarraina or Li Cossi (driving distance 30-50mins). The view into the valley and to the far beaches is just great, especially as seen from the pool area, which made it easy for us (2 adults, 1 10year old kid) to get into the "holiday mood". Ms. Wall was very helpful all the time and responded within a few minutes if we had questions or small problems. The equipment in the apartment is quite basic but works very well. The AC works nice and helps to cool down the sleeping rooms in the night which keeps the mosquitos away. I can definitely recommend this place.

Summary: The apartment was nice, cool sturing the hot summer and exactly as showned. The view of de balcony is amazing and te surroundings are peacefull. We often had the pool for ourselves. The facilities in de apartment are good, everything you need. The only downside is that the bed is hard. Furthermore Andrea and David can be reached when something is wrong and they make sure that it gets fixed.

Summary: Lovely property with spectacular views. 10 minute drive into Castlesardo. 3 minute from the Rocca de elefante. The pool was quiet, it almost felt like we had our own private pool. A great restaurant, Su nurague, just outside Castlesardo. Amazing view with a high standard of food. Great facilities and the owner of the apartment was very, very helpful, before and after holiday. Lovely lady! A very lovely stay.

Summary: I stayed at this apartment for a week in September with my 19 year old daughter and 14 year old son. The small complex was a great 'get away from it all' break from our hectic city lives. The apartment was clean and comfortable and very relaxing. The weather was still very warm in September and we found plenty to do, visiting lots of local beaches and the nearby waterpark in Isola Rossa proved a big hit. The local shops were mainly souvenir shops but there is a good choice of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. The apartment and pool is set on a hilly terrace, there is a steep drive up to the main complex gates but you just need to drop into first gear as it mentions in the guide. Great base to explore Northern Sardinia and we enjoyed day trips to Alghero and Santa Teresa. The old town in Castelsardo is very picturesque and you can enjoy a glass of prosecco and potato chips on the old castle ramparts for as little as 2.50 euros - the end of a perfect day...

Summary: The apartment has stunning views overlooking Badesi & Villadoria. I stayed with my wife & two boys aged 8 & 13. The first problem we had was actually getting to the apartment, the car we hired nearly burned the clutch out attempting to get up the drive, my wife and boys had to get out of the car and I had to take a massive run up in 1st gear and only just made it up the drive. There is no internet even though it is being advertised as having it. The air conditioning heat exchanger is on the balcony and the water pipe flows into a bucket which has to be emptied regularly. Cooking meals in the apartment is a challenge as the oven is not really an oven and is barely big enough for 2 x slices of pizza. Everything has to be fried and there aren't that many utensils, not even a microwave. The TV did not work while we there despite a repair man having a look at it. The swimming pool has no lifeguard so children can not be left on their own as it is quite a way from the apartment itself I counted over 50 steps to get to it so if you physically impaired this will be a challenge. On the plus side it is very peaceful and having breakfast overlooking the coast is great.

Summary: Had a fantastic week here with my wife and two 13 year olds. The apartment is part of a small complex which during our visit was nearly empty so we had the pool to ourselves every day. The complex is in a rural remote location overlooking beautiful countryside so a car is needed. There is a very steep access road to the complex so be prepared.! Air conditioning is provided in both bedrooms but the heat exchanger is located on the small balcony area so you cant sit out and have the AC going at the same time. Overall the apartment was clean and well equipped (with the exception of a breadknife which we had to buy!) I can recommend the apartment to anyone who wants a peaceful location close to a choice of beaches with some good value restaurants. Wi Fi would be a great addition but we were able to get a reasonable service from the Three 3G network.

Summary: I stayed here last August with some friends and my daughter The apartment was excellent , everything that the owners said it would be. Extremely comfortable and facilities wonderful . The apartment was tastefully decorated and spacious. The views were stunning and pool was excellent . The local town and resturants were beautiful and food was fabulous . There are many places to see and lots to do in the area at the same time as being tranquil and relaxing . The would definitely return to Sardinia and recommend this apartment to anyone. The owners were extremely helpful and gave us so much information about the area . Fabulous
