Summary: Lovely house with lots of space inside. It's located nearby the downtown of Bayeux, so you can rearch all sights within walking distance. The house is also nearby a roundabout, the traffic heard is mostly little to moderate. If you let the windows open, you probably get to know the local motorcycle scene in the evening or the rural traffic or daily sweeper early in the morning. The french owner is very friendly. Thanks for the fine holiday!

Summary: Een gastvrije eigenaar, die snel reageert als er vragen zijn (via google translate☺). Het huis is goed ingericht en van alles voorzien. De zitkamer is helaas niet geschikt om er met 10 mensen te zitten (niet voldoende stoelen/zitplaatsen). Je kunt er heerlijk buiten zitten en er is voldoende plaats om 3 of 4 auto's te parkeren. Bayeux is een erg leuke plaats om te wandelen en Bayeux ligt mooi centraal om de stranden, musea en herdenkingsplaatsen van de 2e wereldoorlog te bezoeken.

Summary: Heerlijk huis aan de rand van het centrum alles op loopafstand en 5 min met de auto een hyper marche . Het is schoon en rustig en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig ! Volgende keer weer villa Normande !

Summary: In the house we found almost everything we needed. Everything was prepared so we could start our holiday immediatley. The backside of the house was great, the children could play there, several cars could be parked and we could sit in the room outside even when the weather wasn't so good. In Bayeux and the suroundings there are many things to do if you're interested in history, food and culture.

Summary: This is an older house in the close outskirts of downtown Bayeux. Our family of 9, including 2 very little ones (2 and 4) spent the week here. The location is perfect for walking to dinner, shopping and even meeting tour guides. It is on 3 living levels and allows for some separation of sleeping quarters, which helps with little ones. The property manager was always helpful and the one issue we had (wifi went down in our first day.) was fixed within 24 hours.

Summary: We enjoyed this property. Several levels of stairs to climb. Would have been helpful to have laundry washer instructions in English as the lady who met us spoke only French and we only English. A dryer for the clothes would have been helpful. Kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes. The coffee maker did not work, but we used the hotpot and brewed French press style. Very secure property. Plenty of room for all eight of us to eat together.

Summary: Bayeax is a lovely town with easy access to the WW II D-day beaches, Mont St-Michele monastery, Calvados distilleries, and all things Normandy, and Villa Normande is well-situated for access to everything in Bayeax: 10 minute walk to the train station, the Bayeax tapestry, ‘old town,’ the cathedral, restaurants and shops. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Christian on arrival at the train station, and given a ride to the house. He provided a great overview of the features of the house: secure fencing with remote-controlled gate access (good secure location for the car we rented in Bayeax), well-furnished kitchen complete with dishwasher, ample seating, enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a group much larger than our 3, separate ‘laundry room,’ outdoor dining space, and more. He also graciously offered a ride to the pick-up location for our rental car. Language was only a slight issue – my husband speaks enough French to be able to communicate our arrival time, and on arrival, Christian had ‘Google translate’ on his phone, so we used that for the more complicated parts of our conversation. The person who checked us out on departure spoke enough English to handle that. As other reviewers have noted, the pricing for this home includes some ‘ala carte’ items in addition to the initial daily fee. This was deducted from our cash security deposit (provided on arrival), and the balance returned to us in cash on departure – still very good pricing for this home, but something to be aware of. We would definitely stay again on a future visit to this area.

Summary: This house worked out great for our group of eight! You can't beat the location, within an easy walking distance of the center of Bayeux. The owner was extremely helpful and accessible, the house was very clean and comfortable with lots of room for us. Working with Belvilla as the property manager worked out great. Would definitely stay here again!
