Sip mimosas on the balcony overlooking your stunning 180ยฐ ocean views, including a palm tree just off your balcony, or enjoy the view through the floor-to ceiling windows across the entire front of the apartment. Designed to be left open throughout the day, the (fully screened) glass front to Clifftop Apartment brings in the balmy island breezes the island gets at this height. There is no AC, but for 10 months of the year we have cooling breezes almost all the time! (Aug/Sept are our warmest months.)
Cool-to-the feet Mexican tile leads you to a state-of-the art kitchen -- a fully stocked kitchen with honey wood cabinets, granite counters, stainless appliances, and a breakfast bar with rustic bar seats. Your dining table seats 4, overlooking the ocean below.
This is an opportunity to enjoy island flavor in a gracious setting. It is perfect for two but comfortable for up to 4 if you don't mind sharing a "Jack & Jill" bathroom (ie, doors open from each bedroom, like the Brady Bunch but smaller ;-). It is also pet-friendly for a nice, very quiet pet (with previous approval and pet deposit).
Both bedrooms have queen beds. Bedroom 1 has a partial ocean view and lovely breezes through a front window. Bedroom 2 is cozy and secure and allows near total-darkness sleeping if desired.
The shared bathroom is small but charming, with Mexican tile and a candlelit travertine marble shower.
Clifftop is located on a private drive, in a secluded area with driveway parking. It is a 5-minute drive to 3 beaches (a rental car is required, or a car/driver arrangement, as island taxis do not like to go off the main roads, and this is an understatement ;-). There are sometimes renters in the main house โ€” separate driveway, separate entrance โ€” and the neighbors as well as other guests truly value their peace and quiet, so there is no noise after 9PM (or fun balcony gatherings or enthusiastic late-night returns from clubs ;-) please! There is a shared outdoor laundry alcove (washer, dryer, industrial sink, & usually detergent for your use!), which is outside the main house but available to both units. Again, we do ask that everyone be thoughtful and use only during the day, not before 10AM or after dark!
While itโ€™s just .75 miles above the main road, Clifftop is in a quiet, remote-feeling area; our neighbors enjoy their peace and quiet, so is not suited for parties, loud music, or late-night gatherings on the balconyโ€ฆ(no noise after 9 :-)
There is free Wi-Fi, a SmartTV, 24hr check-in, and parking. Getting Around: A car is required, as the house is high above the bustle of the main road and St Thomas's "safari bus route" (there is driveway parking). There are many rentals on island, but do confirm in advance, as car rentals sometimes suffer from our Caribbean island tempo! If you donโ€™t want to drive, I can help you arrange a car and driver, but it must also be arranged in advance!

Summary: This was a beautiful place and Barb was a wonderful host. Everything was just as stated, all besides it not having A/C. I was aware of it not having A/C only from reading the reviews. It was a little rough getting used to it at first, but it finally cooled off enough to not worry about it too much. We stayed for 2 weeks, so there were days that we decided to stay in. On those days, we were unable to watch TV because there werenโ€™t any blinds to block the light coming through the windows, which glared too much on the TV. I was, however, unaware that we would end up having to share the very small driveway with Barbโ€™s vehicle for a portion of our stay. Which only inconvenienced us by having to walk a little further to the property.

Summary: The cozy Clifftop Villa was the perfect spot for us to call home during our five week stay on St. Thomas. Barb was amazing. Very welcoming, helpful & responsive. Thank you Barb! We had an amazing time! Challenging road up and no AC were outweighed by awesome views, cool breezes, proximity to beaches & comfortable, charming Villa!! We hope to return sometime soon!

Summary: Its an absolutely beautiful view and the house was extremely nice. The second bedroom could use a softer mattress but thatis objective. Probably a cooling one since theres absolutely NO A.C. which i was under the impression it had it but the mountain would keep it cool in the evenings so you could open the windows. Catch an Island breeze yes its a breeze but a HOTT one lol. And tbh if she wanted to upcharge for a portable a.c. i would have definitely paid it lbvs.The apartment is adorable. But it could definitely use a deep clean. Spider webs all in the cupboards and your feet will turn dirty with no shoes on. And although it did not matter i feel like the AD should say that host lives onsight the apartment above. Yes that could be helpful but i was expecting more travelers like myself. Barb is very very sweet and helpful. The power cut off but we was gone anyways but she was ready to jump into action and get us lights and everything we needed. It is a very high mountain to get there so definitely rent a jeep or suv not a car. And a very experienced driver.By day 2 we didn't need GPS and yes she is very accurate in if you feel like you went to far keep driving. I lovd St. Thomas and i will definitely be returning in the future.

Summary: Great place if you like peace and quiet. Make sure y make taxi or car service from the owner first before arriving. Its really a pain in the ass to find if someone going ther the first time.so get a good taxi guy who knows the way if the host barb is around she will drop y wherever y going on the way y on your own.other than that fully stacked kitch lots of tolet paper and paper towels.if y love to cook everything is clean .its really agreat lovers hideway nobody willbother y there.bring spending money for food and transportation or ycredit card stores are down the bottom of cliff.great place i wold visit again in the fall when its not so hot. No ac celining fans and floor fans keep y cool plus its brezyy upthere compare todown below .

Summary: It was great that there are multiple windows which made the place airy and cool. And even better was the view!!! Absolutely amazing!! I wish I had brought my canvas and paint to capture the views. Also, it was quite the adventure to locate the residence but a worthwhile one. However, Barb was quite a help with that. If you can, wake up just before dawn breaks to greet a spectacular view.

Summary: Clean, well maintained, tricky to find. Suggest lowering the balcony railing so it doesnโ€™t obscure the lovely view. Had to push back on effort by owner to show the place to prospective buyers during our rental period. Was successful and encountered no other problems with owner.
