The Carpenter House is a beautifully restored circa 1750 sandstone farmhouse. It is privately situated in the peaceful village of Lampeter with quick access to all the attractions that define the Lancaster County experience. Expertly renovated this is one of Lancaster’s seven original farmhouses.
Not only will you be surrounded by an authentic piece of Lancaster’s past, but you will be enveloped by all the comforts of the modern world.
The exterior of the home is equally as fabulous with a spectacular, private in-ground Saltwater Pool, 7 person luxury Hot Tub, a spacious screened porch right off the kitchen and family room, and beautiful landscaping.
It's location next to a local school provides easy access to multiple playgrounds, open practice fields, tennis courts, walking paths, and a track.

PS: The Pool is not heated and will be open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Summary: We have used this place two years in a row for our tough mudder group. They have opened the saltwater pool early for us twice and it’s super helpful for our muscles. Plenty of showers and beds are very comfy. The screened in porch is my favorite place to hang out. Maybe we will be back next year. Depending on whether our group grows or not.

Summary: A nice combination of antiques and modern furniture made the rooms look authentic to its 18th century beginnings and still feel very comfortable. All of the modern conveniences also helped to make us feel right at home. The pool, hot tub, and pool furniture were clearly our favorites. We'll definitely consider going back again!

Summary: We had a great time. Cheryl and Dustin were able to accommodate a special need for us which we are so grateful for. We had a great time having our family together in a very relaxed and enjoyable way. The back porch and pool are great and we spent a lot time outside. So much fun. The home has everything you need, you could t ask for more!!

Summary: This was a nicely updated charming historic home and we really enjoyed our stay. There is a pool and hot tub, plus way more space than we needed for our family of 5. It is located within an private areas in front of the Schools in that area, which was great because of the Track and fields right in that complex, so we walked around there daily as well as used the playgrounds since it was Summer. The owners answered all messages promptly as well, plus they even left us a great local gift basket. Nearby is a small farmers market (Lapps), plus great proximity to everything in Lancaster. THANKS for the great stay!

Summary: This house was just amazing. To think it was built in 1750 and still has some of the amazing character of the original house is incredible. Especially the wide plank boards for the floor in the upstairs and the original block showing through on some of the outside. The screen porch and pool area was just perfect for a hot summer afternoon. Well Done!!

Summary: We had a great time here. The house is one of a kind… a really cool mix of old and new. The location was a convenient home base for us to explore Lancaster and the surrounding areas, and close to farm stands, shopping, grocery, and anything else you’d need. We were in the pool every day… super fun and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

Summary: This property is situated perfectly, it offers peaceful and beautiful surroundings while still not too far from shops and activities. The house itself is very tastefully decorated, maintaining its originality as a farmhouse yet providing all the modern amenities that are necessary for a comfortable stay. Everyone in your group is sure to enjoy the home as it offers spacious accommodations and plenty of outdoor space to move about. The pool and screened in porch are absolutely fabulous and is were my family and friends spent the majority of the trip. I would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
