2 Bedroom Cottage in Sainte-Helene, Sainte-Hélène

Two bed cottage on two levels only a short drive to the fantastic beaches at Plouhinec or if you want to venture a bit further take a drive to Quiberon and the Gulf of Morbihan.. Located on the Ria D'etel and a 15 minute walk to a sea kayaking school.Just outside the village of Sainte Helene this is an ideal base for exploring the Morbihan coast.The house has two bedrooms with two single beds in one and a double ensuite upstairs. If you do not want to use the upstairs bedroom either for mobility reasons or to be closer to small childrens bedroom there is also linen in a downstairs double bedroom if preferred. Please note that we only rent the property as a two bed for a maximum of four people.
There is a comfortable living room with English satellite Tv,(French TV also available), Wi-Fi, dvd player,playstation 3, and plenty of books and dvds to choose from. It has a fully equipped kitchen and toilet and shower room. Towels and bed linen are included.Outside there is a decked area with table and chairs and a barbeque. The garden which surrounds the house is fenced and secure for small kids to play in. This house is on its own private land and therefore not part of a complex where you would be sharing with other families

Summary: Beautiful house, partly newly renovated. Well equipped with everything we needed. Nice terrasse from where you could also observe the animals on the neighboring property, horses, geese, sheep etc. The house is located in a very quite environment. We actually didn't give the location much thought when booking it, but we found out that it is in a really beautiful region, Ria d'Etel, and many south Bretagne 'highlights' are easy to reach, from Vannes to Concarneau and beyond. We would book again when going to South Betagne again.

Summary: we had a wonderful stay in this nice little house in Sainte-Helene. Everything was there, and we had the feeling on arrival that we could simply start living there. Even the knives were sharp, and that seems to be rare. There are games for inside and outside present, many books and DVDs. TV reception is excellent for british TV, acceptable for french TV (DVB-T), and sadly none for other languages. But with so many things to do outside, all reachable within 30 minutes by car, we never missed that. For me, being 192cm tall, the bed was a bit short, and the kitchen sink a bit low, but that's nearly normal when travelling. As the house is a bit outside of Sainte-Helene, it is normally very quiet there. Except for one day, when the Fête des Huitres was celebrated, and the expected 5000 visitors all drove by the house, but even that wasn't a problem.

Summary: On arrival at the cottage,we found it clean, the garden well maintained, and plenty of utensils in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, and for entertainment, loads of DVDs and games for children to play. There are plenty of walks surrounding the property, giving easy access to the many coves and inlets in the area. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay hence the 4 stars, but that would not deter us from booking this property again. Richard and Janet , Leeds

Summary: We stayed here for one week . Everything was perfect really. Good, friendly and quick response from the owners- for any queries. House in lovely quiet location, yet within walking distance to nice and friendly village. A couple of minutes to the water front. Fantastic paths through woods and fields for nice walks. Very good base for exploring the Morbihan and nothing seemed very far away. The house was well enough equiped and freshly decorated . Decent and comfortable bed ! ( thank you !! ). Nice garden for relaxing in . Would love to come back again . Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. !!

Summary: Very pleasant and well equipped gite. This makes an excellent home for a holiday and enjoys a great location in a rural setting near to a village with facilities and not far from the estuary. Great opportunities to cycle, walk and kayak within the immediate area. We particularly enjoyed exploring the quiet rural lanes and discovering access points to the Ria D'Etel. Yellow Hammers in the garden daily offering their song of "little bit of bread and no cheese!" Great local markets and a useful information pack in the gite giving details etc.

Summary: Cottage was clean and homely and well equipped with everything you need and more even down to picnic baskets and beach mats.Great garden with loads of room for kids to run around and games and dvds to keep the kids occupied.House is in beautiful countryside yet only few minutes drive to gorgeous sandy beaches and village is within walking distance with lovely fresh bakery and bar/creperie.Great location for exploring Brittany and will defintely go back again as so much more to see and do.
