Summary: This is an attractive and quiet property situated just over the bridge leaving the southern end of Estero Island. It about 15 minutes south of Ft Myers Beach. I rented a "High Floor Room." It was big, comfortable, and beautiful - a great view, and more like a small apartment than a hotel room. It had a fridge, stove, glasses and dishes, pans to cook in, and a Mr. Coffee machine with only decaf coffee. There was a veranda that you could walk out onto, catch some ocean breeze, but not smoking is permitted, even out there. The hotel is on the water, on the bay, not the open ocean. And there is NO BEACH at the hotel. There is a large swimming pool, and a sea wall but there is no practical way to swim in the ocean from the hotel. You would have to get into your car and drive to Ft. Myers Beach or Lover's Key Beach. It was listed in Expedia as ocean-front, but it is actually bay-front, and only to look at, not to experience. The hotel has a good restaurant. The food is pricey but delicious. The restaurant is not open early for breakfast and it closes early in the evening. This is not a hotel for partying unless your party is private, quiet, and self-contained. There does not seem to be a lot to do for children at this hotel. It's kind of for older folk. No music, no dancing, and no action. A good place to hide away and rest for a couple of days.
