If yoy love pools, Lakes and beach areas along with lots more this is the condo for you to have fun and relax during your vacation with spectacular lake and mountain views! Bernard’s Landing is a 70 acre waterfront resort with year round activities for the entire family. Smith Mountain Lake boasts 500 miles of shoreline surrounding the 22,000 acres of sparkling fresh water. Bernard’s Landing is a peninsula which is virtually surrounded by water offering lush green open spaces and spectacular amenities.
Located close to everything you could need or want. Walk to your convenience dock located right outside your condo or walk right next to your condo to one of the outdoor pools or the Convention Center. You can also take a short walk to the Clubhouse where the Olympic sized outdoor pool, Indoor Pool and Hot Tub, kiddie pool, playground, steam or dry sauna, fitness center, beach, basketball court, pickleball courts, tennis courts, or racquetball court are located. In addition, you are just steps away from Napoli at the lake, an award winning eatery and bar.
If you want to explore and leave the resort you will love the convenience of this condo. You will enjoy shopping less than 8 miles away at the Westlake Center with a large Kroger Grocery Store, multiple restaurants, Sunken City Brewery and many other stores. Want something closer to the resort and for convenience, you will enjoy Bernie's convenience Store and Gift shop located just a drive down the road or a short walk from the condo. Need a quick snack or did you forget something? Bernie’s has a wonderful assortment of snacks and quick dining foods as well as drinks, gifts and sun loving items to choose from.
Step into the living room with a brand new sofa and carpet or onto the deck for an absolutely breathtaking view of Smith Mountain Lake. You can watch the boats from either location. The two bedroom condo is nicely furnished with a King bed, a Queen bed, two full baths, a large living area, full kitchen and washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, 2 flat screen televisions with cable and DVD players. Also, condo is equipped with a ring doorbell so we can see our renters arrive and you can have a contactless arrival.
Moreover, boat rentals are just steps away from your condo. Bernard's Landing is at the end of a state road so there is no through traffic. It is a great location to walk or ride bikes as well.
Lots to do in the area, shop the antique and country stores. Play miniature golf or go horseback riding. Visit a winery. Take a Day trip to the Peaks of Otter or the World War II Memorial in Bedford or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view! Couples and Families love it here and we are certain you will love it here as well!

Summary: What a lovely place. Great location, and so close to the marina. The staff at the marina and store were SO friendly and knowledgeable. The condo was a perfect size for our long weekend, enjoying the pool and the lake made it even better. Top it off with the Perseid meteor shower gifting us with some beautiful sights of the meteors, and I can say it was a great experience. We would love to come back and stay again. Thank you for sharing your lake home with us!

Summary: This was a perfect location for our family's long weekend stay. Beautiful view, close to the pool and guest dock access so we could leave our watercraft in the lake all weekend. The owner was very helpful and accomodating during the reservation process and answered our questions during our stay. We really enjoyed this relaxing spot and hope to visit again someday.

Summary: Three reviews in one! Due to the synergistic nature of Smith Mountain Lake (SML), Bernard’s Landing Resort, and the cozy condo unit, I am tying all three together in this review. First of all Smith Mountain Lake is a very scenic lake that is not overbuilt, a well balanced mix of untouched nature such as the mountains that flow down to the water’s edge and housing areas that do not overwhelm the lake and blend into the countless coves of SML. I highly suggest if vacationing here to rent a boat or personal watercraft to get out on the lake and see firsthand all it has to offer. Conveniently Bridgewater Marina rents boats right at Bernard’s Landing. Onto Bernard’s Landing; a wonderful setting on a peninsula that truly enables unobstructed views as you stroll around the 70 acre property. Pools, tennis courts. Clubhouse, and Napoli by The Lake restaurant, lots of options to keep you busy or a more relaxing pace spending time at the Sandy Beach. The owner of the condo answered all questions in a very timely manner with a seamless renting experience. The condo unit has a fantastic view of the lake and resort from both the balcony and from the windows in the living room. The condo was cozy and clean and within a few steps of one of the pools. The area around the condo is quiet with a family setting. I am very satisfied with my stay at this condo and give it my full recommendation. One side note, my wife was unable to find a hairdryer or toaster at the unit, and suggests these two items be available for future renters. Thank you kindly, for letting us vacation at your place.

Summary: Outstandingly clean. Well-kept condo. The development is unbelievably beautiful. Lakeview, very well-tended grounds, exterior and common areas in wonderful condition. Friendly people. The view of the lake and the mountains is one of the best views in the east. Melissa, the owner, was highly responsive / almost immediately - to all of my questions. I highly recommend Melissa‘s condo.
