Positive: Beautiful, peaceful setting with well tended gardens of flowers, fruits and vegetables. The dining room and café offer expansive views, but not every room has a view. The service in all areas was very good. We had the half board option that included breakfast and dinner; this was very convenient as the lodge is a 15 minute taxi ride into town. Food service was very good. We loved the hot tubs.

Positive: The bedroom was comfortable warm and spacious. We enjoyed the use of the pools and the views are great at dusk and night time. The half board dinner food was okay.
Negative: Service was lacking in all areas and not what is expected at this price or for a 5 star hotel. The check in staff were cold and not helpful when asking about the spa treatments available (the menu was only in Spanish) this stopped us booking one. The service at dinner and breakfast was slow as the restaurant was busy and not enough staff. We liked our stay but this aspect definitely needs improvement for the price of a nights stay!
