Summary: Both the property and the neighborhood were lovely. It is important to read the instructions sent by the owner. There are very specific rules regarding parking and private space at the property. There are several units in the old mansion. The rules are not problematic but it is important to be aware. There is parking for only one vehicle on the private street. Additional vehicles need to park on Park Avenue. Our vehicle was burglarized through a smashed driver’s window the first night of our stay. It was challenging to have the window replaced as the St Louis Safelite offices did not have an opening for four days. We were able to find an office about 25 miles away in the county. It cost over $500 and took up about 25% of our long weekend. The neighborhood did not feel dangerous. There were many people walking dogs, strolling the park, going to the restaurants, taking wedding photos, and enjoying the neighborhood. We chose to believe it was a random act of unkindness, made the best of our time, and would stay again, with only one vehicle.

Summary: We originally reserved this place to attend an event in Lafayette Square Park, which was unfortunately cancelled. We decided to stay anyway and we are so glad we did. This place is tastefully decorated, well appointed, modern, and very clean. We had everything we needed. The location can't be beat. There are plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance (Polite Society brunch is the best) and Soulard is a quick Uber ride. We love strolling in the park usually, but the weather was not cooperative. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Summary: Larry’s place was immaculate and just perfect, he had everything you could need for a great stay. The bed is comfortable, loves the signature rain shower. Larry shared excellent restaurant recommendations. The location is incredible, close to varied attractions. I highly recommend this stay!

Summary: Special place in beautiful part of St. Louis. Felt like being at home in a different city. Well designed, inviting space for up to 4 adults. Walking distance to several terrific restaurants and stores. Lafayette Square is a must see - historic and picturesque. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: The owner was very friendly and made our stay simple and easy. Very nice and clean place in a great area, close to many St. Louis attractions. Would definitely stay here again the next time I’m here!

Summary: This property is just as advertised and communication with the owner was a breeze. The place was immaculate, very comfortable, and the decor was stunning (probably better in person than in the pictures). You can tell the owner gives a lot of attention to detail. There was also a lot of space for 2 of us and the downstairs bedroom made a cool and comfortable sitting room on a hot summer day. It was also nice that some snacks and coffee were made available (a Keurig and a regular coffee maker). As for location, the Lafayette Square neighborhood made for a nice area to walk around, looking at all the Victorian houses and walking the park. Plus, there were several restaurants to choose from when we were hungry. It’s a little far to walk to some of the downtown tourist activities (the Arch and Busch stadium), but it wasn’t too much trouble getting in the car and finding parking that direction. I would definitely stay here again if I come to St. Louis!

Summary: We stayed at this property when we came into town to visit our family! We could not have asked for a better property or host! Larry was wonderful and thought of everything we could possibly need! Very cool atmosphere but very quaint and so comfortable! Plenty of towels and coffee and comfy beds and pillows! Within walking distance of restaurants and a gorgeous park across the street! Would most definitely recommend and will stay here in the future if available! Thank you Larry!
