Welcome to our Piney Woods Getaway in East Texas! This historic home built in 1910 has been tastefully upgraded with the modern guest in mind. Escape your busy life to find solitude in this historic five bedroom 3,400+ square foot private home nestled on 2.5 acres. Originally built by Pole Mason Coussons (banker) and his wife Carrie A. Nethery Coussons in 1910, the manor is completely immersed by astounding views, and it’s difficult to not feel you found the perfect getaway!
Beautifully upgraded and fully furnished throughout, the home includes a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, including stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Large indoor dining table that seats 6 comfortably. Bedrooms are well furnished with beautiful new crisp linens, pillows and bed coverings. Spacious living room with seating areas, sun room with seating and dining table perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Outdoor patio with astounding views, seating and swinging bench. Smart 40" HDTV in each bedroom, Beekman 1802 toiletries provided, free onsite parking and private access.
Guests have full access and complete privacy inside the home and may enjoy full use of outdoor amenities as well. Instructions for access, check-in, checkout and directions to the home are provided in the house manual on VRBO. Summary: Our stay was comfortable and convenient to our in town family. The only thing we missed was a television in a common area where we could watch together. We will definitely recommend this property.( just not when we eant y9 stsy) l

Summary: Great location and internet. Beautiful backyard and friendly cats. House was musty and dusty as if it had been closed for a long time. Low water pressure master BR bath main floor. No hot water upstairs bathroom sinks. No standard coffeemaker only Keurig. We needed to purchase our own coffeemaker. Water filter in refrigerator needed to be replaced. Needed to empty about 2 gallons of dehumidifier water from the upstairs BR daily for it to continue to run.

Summary: We were in Hemphill for a family burial. My husband and I had stayed here a few years ago by ourselves. We knew it would be convenient for us to bring our family to this same location. It was very clean and comfortable. 5 bedrooms and 4+ baths was perfect for our family. Thank you.

Summary: My wife and I gathered our family consisting of our two children and our grandchildren to visit Hemphill celebrating my mother's birthday. I also invited a long-time friend and his wife. I usually stay in at hotel 30 miles away, because there many places to stay in Hemphill Texas. I decided for this visit to check out VRBO. What a great decision! This particular property is absolutely awesome! It has all the amenities one could wish for. Provide everything we needed and so much more. Rooms where amazing, kitchen, florida room, balcony etc...really exceeded our expectations. Totally awesome getaway....my family and friends were all impressed. Thanks for helping create a great experience and making awesome memories. V/R JB

Summary: The booking process was simple. Corresponding with the owner was easy. The property was even nicer than the pictures. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Walking distance to downtown. I’d recommend this property.
