The Villa del Sole, is called so for a very good reason, you have sunshine around the house from morning to e vening. This is a brand new, premium apartment with panoramic views of Lake Como to the east and picturesque mountain and rural views of the 'Valle d’Intelvi,' one of the lake’s most beautiful valleys, to the west. It enjoys sunshine all day long. The apartment is situated just above the town of Argegno in ROVASCIO. This 120 square metre ground floor apartment in a unique three apartment building provides a private 'getaway' for your family and friends in tranquil, 'whisper quiet' surroundings.
There are three bedrooms (one king, one queen, and two single beds), two bathrooms, air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, two lock-up garages, private splash pool (two and one--half metres by 4 and one-half metres), outdoor balcony, terrace and garden, all for private use for this apartment only. The building has a security gate and intercom. The large lounge has comfortable sofas and leads out onto the magnificent terrace, completely furnished with dining table, comfortable sofas, and sun umbrella, with breathtaking views of the lake and valley. The owners have designed the apartment for relaxation and comfort--a perfect base to relax or explore.
Nature trails lead to old villages and classic Italian stone terraces nearby. The nearest town, Argegno, is in an excellent strategic position only four minutes drive away. It is easy to reach all the other towns on the lake by ferry, bus or car--you couldn't ask for a more convenient point.
This paradise is only a 20 minute drive away from Cernobbio, the world famous hotel Villa D'este and the famous Villa Erba, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held, the City of Como is a 25-minute drive away. Of course Como is the silk capital of Italy, so there are many silk and textile factory outlets and shops in the town of Como. Milan is 55 kilometres, one hour's drive (less to Milan International airport), so it is also ideal for combining a holiday with the world famous 'Monza Grand Prix', or any other sporting or business events which you may wish to attend in Milan.
All travel information will be provided to guests enquiring about the apartment, as will a welcome book (provided in the apartment) with the local tours and suggested walking itineraries in the area, local information and suggested boat trips.
It is also five minute's drive away from the 'Villa Oleandra,' the villa acquired from the Heinz family by George Clooney, and George has been spotted in Argegno often mixing with the local people.

Summary: What a surprise! Nestled into the hillside is this beautiful apartment with everything you need for a restful break. The open plan living makes for great relaxation & is easy to keep clean and excellent for children. You can relax by the pool or on the front balconies overlooking the lake. You do need a car to get up and down from Argegno, however once in the town you can easily park the car and catch a ferry or bus, which means you get to enjoy the scenery. Everything is provided except food - it's a real home away from home. Silvana was a wealth of information, being available easily & advice. We would thoroughly enjoy our stay.

Summary: From the moment we arrived we knew we had found a little piece of heaven. Traveling with three children for a week in Como was so easy staying here in Argegno. We had everything we needed in the villa and we would travel n explore with the ferries, towns and walks then come home to relax. September/October kids still braved the pool but lake was a bit chilly. After a few days my husband mastered the windy narrow roads up n down from the villa so definately recommend a small car- all roads very narrow! All great washing n cooking facilities n many an afternoon spent lazing on the balcony reading books n taking in the most amazing view of the lake. This villa is truly in a great location but definitely need a car. The town down from the villa Argegno is very old world with local bakery, Delhi, pizzeria, wine bar all locals very friendly. Great farmers market we went to in the town all fresh local produce. Ferry runs very regular hop on hop off to all nearby town on the lake n explore. We also drive into Switzerland and travelled to Verona for the day well worth the long trip. This villa is a great base to either sit n relax or explore the beautiful offerings of Lake Como. Villa was very clean n very peaceful. Can't wait to return again one day.

Summary: The apartment has the most delightful views of the lake from one side and the d'Intelvi valley from the other, its a dream location for an Italian holiday. Friends, my wife and I could not rate the area and apartment more highly. Its close to the village, yet in such a peaceful and commanding location, you find it hard to leave. The layout is great and the comfort superb after hard days cycling, shopping or sightseeing We thoroughly ennjoyed all that Argegno had to offer, superb restaurants, great walks and magic cycling. But cyclists beware... the approach road to the apartment is the tougest leg of any ride in the area! All worth it with when you get back for a dip in the pool, cooling breezes through the apartment and the sound of church bells across the valley. We will certainly be back.

Summary: We LOVED staying in Argegno, and this property was perfect for our needs. From walking the surrounding mountains, to cycling the hills, checking out the local village and touring around neighbouring villages, having a comfortable base to come back to (with our own pool) just MADE our holiday. We loved it so much we are planning another visit - hopefully in 2013! 100% happy customer.

Summary: To wake up and step out on the balcony looking over Lake Como with the Church Bells ringing gently up the valley is something I will fondly remember for the rest of my life. This beautiful and spacious accommodation is a must for all travelers.We stayed for 2 weeks in September with two boys (12 & 14) and their Grandmothers and had a fantastic time. There was something for everyone, shopping in Bellagio, Como or the nearby Foxtown for the girls, walking trails and exploring the nearby countryside for the boys or just sitting on the balcony soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful mountains and the lake while relaxing. Luigi and Silvana were beautiful people who could not do enough to help us while we found the information file provided by the owners and other travelers an invaluable resource. The central location allowed us to drive to Venice, Milan, Florence or Switzerland for excursions while the local village had an abundance of great restaurants and coffee shops to check out the local cuisine. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be going back to further explore the region and it's many attractions.

Summary: We had a wonderful week in August 2008. My family (including 3 small children) loved the house. The kitchen was modern and lovely. The rooms were comfortable, and the views -- wow. We miss looking out over the sparkling waters and hearing the church bells toll over the valley in the morning! The pool was a great way to unwind at the end of our sightseeing each day. We noticed the house got cool breezes off the mountains that we didn't feel closer the lake -- a real advantage on a summer day. Loved it!!

Summary: Could not have imagined a more picture -perfect location on Lake Como. Easy access to Como, Bellagio, Menaggio but the dilemma is finding a reason to leave such a beautifully furnished and comfortable apartment with views that take your breath away. Highly recommended as a get-a -way or base for further sightseeing.

Summary: Our family spent a week on the Lake in Early October 2007 and had a wonderful holiday. When we arrived the mountains were snow capped and we felt that we had arrived in a magical place. The apartment was larger than we had expected with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The kids loved the pool (though a little chilly that time of year), and the practical touches in the apartment fitout really worked for us. The uncompromising style in which the apartment has been decorated made for a luxurious yet relaxed stay. This apartment will not disappoint, the views are stunning and the locals are friendly and helpful. Silvana and Luigi (managers) were extremely helpful.
