3 Bedroom House in Riseley, Bedford

The Old Dairy sits in glorious Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire countryside right on your doorstep. Lovely private garden for outside dining, relaxing and hot-tub. Excellent walking, cycling & other activities close by. You’ll love it because of its beamed ceilings, fabulous kitchen in large open plan living area with log burner and doors opening onto private garden. A great place for special occasions, and make the most of your Sunday with our Lazy Sunday check-out time of 4pm.
The space
There is a fabulous open plan living space compromising kitchen, dining and living area with a woodburner and TV under the high beamed ceiling. If you want a bit of chill time there is a snug where you can snuggle up with a book or watch TV away from the main living area. Downstairs there is a bootroom to leave all your muddy boots and coats with a downstairs WC.
All the bedroom suites have their own luxury bathrooms. The master suite is on the first floor with a Super-King bed and the other1st floor bedroom suite, at the other end of the house, also has a Super-King bed that can be split into two single beds.
There is one bedroom suite on the ground floor with its own luxury bathroom with walk-in shower and freestanding bath.
All the bedrooms have their own desks.
There is a gallery with a desk/workspace overlooking the main living area.
The house is eco-friendly as heating is powered by a ground source heat pump.
There is a hot-tub set on a private terrace available all year round. There is an additional £75 charge for this and it includes bathrobes and spa towels for all guests during their stay.
Things to do - there are lots of activities all within 15mins of the property in addition to the fabulous walks directly from the property (so no walking on the road). Locally there are activities such as high ropes, clay pigeon shooting and sailing at Grafham Water. Cambridge City is only 45 mins away punting on the river through the historic city is a wonderful day out. There are many gastro pubs nearby and we provide lots of recommendations for both restaurants and activities.

Summary: This is truly a wonderful place. The barn is beautiful and extremely clean and well presented with everything you could need for a great stay. We were made to feel extremely welcome and Miranda clearly cares that her guests have a good experience. Having stayed at a number of similar types of short term rentals, I can say that this really stands out and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Summary: We have had a wonderful stay at The Old Dairy. The property is a beautiful barn conversion finished to an incredibly high standard with beautiful interior design. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable with beautiful white company linen. It felt like every detail have been covered. The beautiful secure garden has a well maintained hot tub which we all enjoyed. The location is rural in beautiful rolling countryside. The are footpaths running straight from the property perfect family walks. Miranda was is a fantastic host. She provided an Extensive welcome pack and was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. Thank you for a really wonderful stay x

Summary: Miranda's place was a lovely place to stay, even nicer than the pictures. All the bedroom suites with their own bathrooms are beautiful. It has an open plan living area with a stunning kitchen and big dining table, and the wood burner was wonderful with all logs etc provided. The hot-tub was great and very private even in February in a courtyard just off the ground floor bedroom. The welcome hamper was very generous and there were lots of luxurious touches like all the linen and toiletries from The White Company. A perfect place for a group of friends to spend a couple of days away.

Summary: Perfect. Miranda provided lots of really useful information and details before our arrival. The Old Dairy is a dream of a place to stay. Beautiful, spotless and exceptionally well appointed. We had a fabulous weekend with friends - enjoying the house and lovely, private garden. We also managed trips to Cambridge, Burghley House and several of the recommended restaurants, (The Plough was incredible!). A fantastic home from home.

Summary: Just back from a wonderful stay at the Old Dairy, catching up with friends. From the point of booking, through to departure, the hosts could not have been more attentive, helpful and informative. The Old Dairy is stylish, spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The welcome pack was a very thoughtful touch and the amenities are second to none; the hot tub and beautiful garden space were an added bonus. This place really has the wow factor and and we hope to return again next year.
