Positive: We travelled to Samarkand with our whole family. Booked the whole three-bedroom apartment as they call it, it was clean, neat and very easy to find. An amazing staff, great location and delicious breakfast.

Negative: The only thing I can say is that the sauna and indoor pool were not included in the price, and this was not clear at the time of booking. It was an extra $30 per hour for 5 people. Nevertheless, the whole stay was great value for money. Still would recommend.

Negative: Shared bathroom with other 2-3 rooms. After taking a shower, there was always water on the floor, so it wasn't comfortable for those who came after.

Positive: Rooms are huge, though feel a bit empty. Great spaces to hang out with friends or family — big common area, living room, and a dining room. Staff were helpful and quick to respond.

Negative: Breakfast was more basic than expected. The bath house in the yard can be booked not only by guests but also outsiders. One night, a loud karaoke party went on until late. Keep that in mind. The other night some locals entered the floor that we booked to ourselves and then loudly barged into our room at 1:00 in the night, realized this was the wrong floor after a discussion and left. What was that?

Positive: I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone traveling to Samarqand. We stayed in the three bedroom apartment which was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. They had a crib for our son and a high-chair in the breakfast area. Breakfast was simple, but good. There's no need for a large breakfast when you're going to have Samarqand Osh for lunch!

Negative: The guesthouse is a bit further from the tourist sites than other hotels, but the spacious accommodations and peaceful neighborhood environment make up for it. You can reach most tourist sites by taxi in 15-20 minutes.

Summary: Excellent option for families or large groups.
