Summary: House was in a safe neighborhood and had what we needed for our short weekend stay. Check in & communication were great with property manager. She was very responsive. The bathrooms needed a little extra cleaning & towels weren't great but there were plenty once we found some in the dryer. Be aware that the train runs very close to the back of the house as noted in other reviews.

Summary: The house was the perfect space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Communication was good leading up to our arrival. The house was decorated for the holidays, and it felt cozy and welcoming, with water and mints in the bedrooms. It slowly went downhill from there…We found old moldy coffee grinds in the coffee maker, understood how that could be missed, and my husband cleaned it. Unfortunately, things built on top of that. The kitchen towel hanging on the stove had old food all over it, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, the bathroom mats hadn't been washed, all air vents were black with dirt (only hoping it wasn’t mold), fans in bedrooms full of dust we were scared to turn them on, closets had leaves and dirt, and bathroom shower had hair and dirt as well. The property needs a good deep clean and some love - I don’t know what happened in all the closets, but the walls are a mess.I contacted the property manager during our stay to make her aware, and she was very apologetic. She offered to refund part of the cleaning fee and assured us she would address it after our departure. Unfortunately, once we left, she ghosted me and no longer responded to messages, nor did we ever get the refund. This house could be great if it were taken care of. Also, as a side note, there are train tracks that run right behind the house/master bedroom - we had no idea, so it was startling the first night with multiple trains running all throughout the night. Bring a sound machine!

Summary: We only slept there one night. We had a family gathering at my son’s house nearby. House is a nice size and I was surprised to find it was decorated for Christmas. My grandson loved that! He also got excited about train going by outside backyard fence. No noise problem

Summary: We booked our stay to visit several places in and around Birmingham as well as go to Tuscaloosa for an Alabama football game. Location was great -- easy to get to lots of places downtown as well as in Hoover and Bluff Park. The neighborhood was nice and quiet (aside from the occasional train in the distance but you're going to get that anywhere in B-ham). The property was exactly what we needed, the master suite was spacious and other bedrooms were comfortable as well. Kitchen was a little sparse but had everything we needed for making breakfasts before heading out for the day. Overall the house is very cozy and lived-in, there are some very minor superficial dings and stains but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Owner is very responsive and welcoming. Would book again!

Summary: We only stayed for a night to break up a trip down to Florida. Was exactly what was shown in the photos. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Appreciated the fast response and communication from the owners. Only thing I would say is lacking is the cookware. There was hardly anything to choose from and I needed a frying pan. Other than that, everything was great!

Summary: Family traveled for the SEC Tournament! Was in a perfect location and had plenty of room to spread out and rest in comfort. There is a train that passes at night so that was a surprise, but wasn’t extremely loud. Definitely would stay again next year!
