Beautiful lakefront 5 bedroom home on Lake Sam Rayburn near Plum Ridge/Westwood/Ebeneezer Park. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset sitting on our huge wrap around deck with views of the lake from all areas. Four bedrooms with king beds with four full bathrooms, 2 master suites. Double bunk beds in play room provides 5th bedroom option. Acres of beach for kids to play in the water or to moor your boat. Golf, restaurant, & convenience store nearby(15 mins). Two boat launches, Sandy Creek and Westwood are less than 5 mins away. The house has all flat screens with directv and dvd. Two refrigerators for ample storage. Poker table. 3500 sq ft gives you plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Please note, this house does not have ADA accommodations.

Summary: Can’t beat the location - private beach, water was clear and calm. The house set up fit our family perfectly. It’s a quirky 1980’s - 1990’s lake house - perfect for a getaway. Had an issue but Scott was great! Responded immediately and continued to check in on us. Thank you, Scott.

Summary: The house is very spacious and easily accommodates 12 people. Great lake view and sunrise. A/C works wonderfully and there are plenty of lounge areas and pillows galore (about 120 total)! Good access to the lake but there are a few stumps in this area of the lake. I would recommend this place to family/friends.

Summary: The house is spacious and clean! Lots of room for family to cook, play, relax, and just enjoy the scenery. Right on the water to enjoy swimming and fishing. The host is very responsive. Highly recommend!!

Summary: Perfect for several families to have room to play. Good location to be right on the water. Even with an infant to be able to nap in mid day and kids continue to play without waking the napper. Easy access to fishing with boat ramp not too far away.

Summary: I'll start with the good... The location on the lake is amazing and beautiful. The grassy backyard was awesome and there is a nice sandy beach at the back where you can launch your canoe or park a pontoon. I loved how spacious the house was; it easily accommodated us (6 adults) and I estimate it could probably handle 10 comfortably. Loved the big windows and lake views. Now onto the bad. Upon arrival we were disappointed by the clutter and disarray of the deck; it felt like whoever rented the place for the 4th of July never really straightened up. The weathered wooden deck itself seemed long overdue for some TLC. Upon entering the house we discovered a huge amount of half-cleaned dishes crammed into the dishwasher, waiting for us to unload it all. The kitchen counters were unclean. I found a shot glass half filled with stale alcohol on the coffee table in plain sight. I did bring this to the attention of the host (Scott) and he was gracious enough to refund us our own cleaning fee and he said he would touch base with his cleaners. The biggest issue was the upstairs bathroom (part of a private bedroom-bathroom suite which overlooks the lake from the second story). A previous VRBO review (which popped up AFTER we booked) references the enormous amount of crawling and flying bugs in the upstairs bathroom. I was hopeful this was a temporary, seasonal thing and that the host would've fixed this before our arrival. Nope. The upstairs bathroom, especially when the lights are on, is littered with living and dead bugs. It was so bad that my brother who stayed in the upstairs room felt it too unsanitary and unsettling to use and he had to use the bathrooms downstairs during our stay. I reached out to Scott about this and he said 'multiple contractors had been out to "fix" the problem but apparently the bugs are still around.' And it's a lot of bugs, not just a few. Other issues, while smaller, were nevertheless annoying. The VRBO post lists "coffee grinder" as a kitchen amenity, but after searching every cabinet and drawer in the kitchen three times there was none to be found, which meant we had coffee beans but no coffee the entire trip. The poker table was nice, but its wooden chairs with their peeling and flaking faux leather upholstery were in awful condition. One chair was literally snapped in half, just sitting in the den. This place needs a lot of care and attention. For what we paid, we were disappointed. We still made the most of our trip.
