Escape to one of the most beautiful destinations in Nelson County Virginia. Southern Comfort Lakeside Cabin Resort is situated on 200 beautiful acres. Overlooking Hamilton lake our log cabins are a unique blend of rustic and modern. The hand hewn logs give the warmth you would expect from a log home we've added modern amenities to make your stay with us memorable. We offer central air, flat screen smart televisions with Hulu, WIFI. The Kitchens are fully equipped with the basics for cooking. The stainless steel appliances and beautiful soapstone counter tops make these kitchens spectacular! We truly want our guests to have an enjoyable experience so no ordinary bathroom would do. Soapstone vanities with vessel sinks an amazing custom tile shower. You choose standard, rainfall, hand held shower heads and multiple body jets use one or all of them at the same time. The cabins all have gas fireplaces and comfortable furnishings. Lets not forget the most important room the bedrooms. Each bedroom has a Queen size bed with a memory foam mattress, soft sheets and blankets so our guest enjoy an incredible night's sleep.
Whether you're fishing or kayaking on our private lake; enjoying the views from your porch; watching the deer frolic or walking the trails; your mind, body and soul can't help but relax and become one with nature.

Summary: This is a fantastic location for fishing, hikes around the property, swimming and boating in the lake. If we stayed longer we could have explored more of the local sites but we had plenty to do on site. Lots of wineries and local food options. Cabin had everything we needed. Internet worked really well for those of you who need it for streaming or work. We will be back!

Summary: We had a wonderful visit to this cabin during a recent trip to wintergreen (just 20mins away). It was impeccably clean and stocked with all the kitchen things we needed for preparing meals and super close to several breweries/cidery for having a meal out. We enjoyed the property so, so much- we hiked the trails and had fun identifying animal tracks in the snow - bears, deer, rabbits and more! Because it was frozen and snowy at our visit we had great fun sliding down the steep hill by the lake. Lisa was friendly and very communicative. We will definitely be back to this peaceful piece of heaven!!

Summary: This was the best place we have stayed at. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We loved the cabin and all the decor. Everything we needed was there. It was so sweet of The owners to stop by and check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. There was a big snow storm and they plowed multiple times. We never had difficulty getting in or out. Loved it and will visit again!!
