During this time we will offer some 5-day stays when we are normally only Sat-Sat reservations. (This has to do with our housecleaners limited schedule during this period. We normally are not open during this time but are offering some limited bookings as our own plans have shifted)

Map does show in town but we are actually outside of town on the Madison River. Yellowstone National Park and West Yellowstone are only 30 mi. away which is a short 25 min. drive.
FISH RIGHT FROM THE PROPERTY IN THE BEST WADE SECTION OF THE MADISON RIVER. OUR PROPERTY GOES TO THE WATER.
You will feel welcomed in our river front luxury log home! We built our custom home in 2014, it is 3800 sq. ft. which features 4 bedrooms (Incl. TWO MASTER SUITES), the 5th bedroom is a spacious loft, 3 full bathrooms and a game room with second living/bar area. Our home can sleep 10 people on 3 levels. The home sits on a one acre lot along the river and is just a short drive off the main road.
Home is furnished completely with locally made, custom Montana log and barn wood furniture. ALL BEDSPREADS, blankets and sheets, are professionally laundered after each guest! We are sure no other home in the area provides this service.
The great room overlooks the river and mountains with comfortable reclining sofas and chairs around a gas fireplace. The views are breathtaking! For the foodies, there is a fully-stocked chefs kitchen with large center island. Quality beds, pillows and linens are few things to make your stay very comfortable. Down by the river you will find a cozy fire pit with firewood and 10 Adirondack chairs for s'mores and stargazing. The deck has a Weber Genesis gas grill with tall bar table and a dining table and chairs. There are two sets of HE washers/dryers for convenience, all soaps and dryer sheets provided. We have taken great care to ensure you have all the comforts of home!
MAIN FLOOR: open kitchen, dining and great room, one master suite, two other guests bedrooms, a full bathroom and laundry area.
LARGE OPEN LOFT: has two twin beds with sitting area.
LOWER LEVEL/WALKOUT BASEMENT: second master suite and another living room/bar area with TV, space for all your fishing gear, rod and wader racks. Our concrete floors make it convenient for changing inside at night or when wet. Just off this room is a second set of laundry and a game room with foosball, ping pong, corn hole for outside, poker set and a large collection of board games.
There are many rivers and lakes nearby as well as Yellowstone, making this is the perfect home base to explore the area. Fish the Madison, Henry's Fork, Gallatin or rivers inside Yellowstone park. Hebgen Lake, Cliff and Wade lakes, Henry's Lake, Earthquake lake are all minutes away.

Summary: We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property. The attention to detail throughout the home was top notch. Everything was incredibly well thought out and beautifully maintained. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we have ever experienced, with modern appliances and everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals as a family.From extra linens to helpful labels and thoughtful touches in every room, it is clear the hosts truly care about making the stay comfortable and seamless. The home had a welcoming feel from the moment we arrived and was spotless throughout.Communication was also fantastic—quick, clear, and helpful every step of the way. Summary: This was a top notch stay from beginning to end. The house was immaculate, comfortable and in a wonderful location right on the Madison River (35-40 minute drive to Yellowstone). What made this property particularly special was the many extras you don't expect in a rental property. We were welcomed with a personal note and a wonderful snack package. The house had just about everything you could want: coolers, bear spray, binoculars, pantry items like spices and baggies, coffee and filters, real soap bars in the bathrooms, just to name a few. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook-in nights. The owner was wonderfully responsive and even bought a chess set for the house when I asked if they had one. It's no wonder this property has received so many 5 star ratings- here's one more.

Summary: We had a blast, fished the Madison, went to Yellowstone, went horseback riding, shot fully automatic guns in West Yellowstone and enjoyed the house. We had 4 adults and 4 teens. There was something for everyone. The owner of the property was amazing and literally thought of everything. A trip of a lifetime!

Summary: Our family had a great week at Caddis Shack. We all agreed this was the best vacation house we have stayed at. Summary: We have stayed in VRBOs all over the world for the past 17 years. So when I say this was “perfecto” I know what I am talking about! This was such a wonderful, beautiful, welcoming home. We are a family of two grandparents, 2 thirty-something couples and two little kids (9 and 4). We had planned on 3 days in Yellowstone, but due to major flooding we were turned away and the park never opened again while we were there. Oh well! We still had so much to see and do and we loved it all. Our evenings were spent playing ping pong and corn hole (we are all quite competitive so it was really fun). We took turns fixing dinner in that fabulous kitchen and took turns cleaning up. It was delightful working together because the kitchen is big and well designed. The little things were so very much appreciated. This is where Caddis Shack is heads above the others…Randy and Samantha provided all the stuff we usually have to buy before we even check in! Things like olive oil, trash bags, zip lock bags, paper towels, sun screen, OFF, and even BEAR SPRAY! And don’t get me started on those plush towels! The two washers and dryers were a real bonus too and we used them since we didn’t bring a lot of clothes. (Fishing gear took up a lot of our luggage space.). All in all, this vacation truly was “perfecto” and a big part of it was because of Caddis Shack. To have that many family members traveling together can sometimes be challenging….Caddis Shack was so spacious and comfortable that there was room for a person to go off on their own if they wanted a break from the activities and energy. We loved it. I don’t think we will ever be able to find a place as wonderful. Headed to Chamonix, France next, but we will still have to return to Montana to see Yellowstone in a couple years. I hope we can still stay at Caddis Shack!

Summary: Our family group of 9 spent a week at Chaddis Shack. Our sons ages 15 to 26 enjoyed fishing in the river. Our whole group visited, YNP, West Yellowstone, Tetons. We hiked Sheep Lake trail. We enjoyed the fire pit, big dinners and the game room. Perfect time to relax and reconnect.
