Positive: The hut and location was beautiful and we loved the hot tub. The bed was also very comfortable, we slept like babies! A dog came to say hello while we were making breakfast which was cute… and there were also cats at the property and we love cats :)
Negative: The hut could use a deep clean. Some parts of the bathroom was dirty as was the oven, the sink and the fridge. It definitely had a lot of potential and it wasn’t completely filthy but could just use some love and care. There wasn’t any sugar which was frustrating so we couldn’t have a coffee when we woke up (we were told beforehand there’d be sugar). Lack of communication with the hosts. I’d message and wouldn’t receive a response for hours even though they’d said to let them know if we needed anything. They also wouldn’t answer phone calls. We did meet a man outside who was friendly and helpful and answered our questions but it was frustrating to have our messages ignored.

Positive: There are two Shepherd huts at the property and the booking only shows photos of one. One is much more tired than the other.. The host really needs to think about how the experience feels for a customer. They charge £180 per night so surely they can deal with any rubbish??? The place was charging hotel rates but trying to run like a self catering establishment with similar rules such as take out your own litter etc, you are either one or the other. Felt like the litter police.

Positive: We arrived following directions given before hand which came in very handy. The close off area allowed complete privacy when staying. The Shepherd's cabin was cosy and warm inside with the option of having heat from the fire - however we found the place to be warm enough. Bathroom was small but had everything you could possible need so didn't need to be any bigger. Kitchen had everything you could possible want. Had an instruction manual for all everything incase of any confusion. Finally, the hot tub along with the garden lights....what can i say just beautiful! we enjoy our evenings out with the stars while in the hot tub. Everything and more you could possibly want from a place like this. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
