Our luxury 3 Bedroomed Villa overlooks the acclaimed Terrace Downs Golf Course, which rates as one of New Zealand’s leading golf courses. All of this with fantastic views towards Rakaia Gorge, Mt Hutt Ski Field and surrounding mountains, and located 1 hours drive from Christchurch airport & 20 minutes from Methven Township and the base of Mt Hutt skifield.
The Villa contains 3 bedrooms each of which can be set up with a Californian king size bed or can be split into 2 king single beds. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with raised double spa bath. A second bathroom services the other 2 bedrooms. The villa is fully self-contained with a full kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave, open plan living/dining area, laundry facilities and covered car park. It also contains a television, DVD Player, and CD stereo player.
The Terrace Downs Resort provides for a full range of activities from golf, tennis courts, gym, walking, biking, health spa, clay bird shooting, horse rides, jet boating, restaurants. Helicopter flights can also be arranged from the clubhouse with a shuttle service to Mt Hutt ski field from the club house during the ski season.
Please Note: The Resort is currently closed due to renovations and we expect in to reopen before the ski season 2021.

Summary: A very relaxing environment with an impressive apartment at its centre. Excellent kitchen, spacious lounge, comfortable bedrooms. On the down side;- - access from the carport down steps to the entrance carrying luggage can be a problem for elderly especially it the weather is not playing fair. - 2 lights in the hallway were not working making it difficult to use the great laundry setup. The lint collector needs to be checked after each occupation as it was packed full when checked prier to use. - Need clearer instructions on how to work the DVD system through the excellent TV ( pitty no sports channels ) But look - just pull the curtains and wallow in the vista outside. to watch the sun easing its presence from pink to full sun on the mountains over the river valley more than compensated for the minor 'downers' above. We wallowed, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and never played a round of golf ! Will return. Thankyou. -
