Summary: Everything as described. Villa was delightful and in a great location for exploring the region. No wifi or aircon, but that wasn’t a problem for us.

Summary: The house is lovely and situated in a spot that gives the renter access to both Tuscany and Umbria. The rooms are all a good size, and overall the house is very comfortable. The children really enjoyed the pool and we didn't see even a hint of neighbors, though nearby the topography makes the property very private. The house manager, Katharina, was able to arrange for a chef to come in to the house one day and cook with us and share the art of making pasta. It was a fantastic experience, reasonably priced, and we really appreciated it. It was a bit cooler at the house, up in the hills, than it was in a lot of the hill towns we visited. We really enjoyed having access to Perugia and Assisi as well as the more heavily trafficked Tuscan towns. Cortona is nearby and very pleasant and only an hour into Montepulciano. Fair warning - a lot of the driving is on very winding roads, but that seems to be par for the course for the area. Another reviewer mentioned that there were a lot of bugs, but that was something we experienced in other parts of Italy too, I don't think it's the particular property. Best come prepared though - we needed our spirals and OFF. Also, the kitchen was not as large and well equipped as some of the properties we have rented but it worked well enough and we got creative when necessary. The grill didn't work well for us, it seemed more pretty than functional. Everything else in the house worked great and it's very well maintained. They had lots of fans scattered about so when it got pretty hot we had plenty of air flow, and the shutters and thick stone walls kept the house cool on hot sunny days. Plenty of towels for the pool. Lots of outdoor seating. Overall our group agreed that it was a great property and we really loved it. I would definitely recommend it.

Summary: Lovely house. Fabulous base to explore the area from. Difficult time with the mozzies and would have benefitted from insect screens in bedrooms etc. Could do with some more seating in the living room. Overall we had a great stay though in a really lovely home.

Summary: We stayed in this incredible villa with our family & absolutely loved it! The villa is furnished beautifully and has a wonderfully authentic Italian feel. Within the grounds there is a delightful terrace which is perfect for dining and an amazing infinity pool with stunning panoramic views. The exquisitely maintained gardens are perfect for relaxing and our children loved spotting tiny geckos which regularly made an appearance. We sampled some excellent food in nearby restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the lovely local towns and villages. We would highly recommend this charming villa and hope to return there again soon.

Summary: We had a wonderful week with our family and really felt immersed in the local area and culture. The villa is really well equipped and the pool is amazing; such a gorgeous view too. We loved exploring local towns and villages and the villa was a great base for this. Once home it was the pool or the terrace that were the real draw especially sitting under the stars of an evening! If you are looking for a peaceful holiday and a true taste of Italy this villa makes a wonderful base.

Summary: From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the Villa. The maintenance of the property and quality of the furnishings is obviously high on the owners priority. The infinity swimming pool was amazing and we loved just sitting around the pool relaxing in the garden whilst admiring the surroundings, my personal favourite was sitting outside just outside the dining/kitchen area enjoying the changing colours of the sunrise. We also enjoyed the large family area inside the house where we were able to relax with local wine in the evenings when it chilled off slightly. The surrounding area is lovely and we enjoyed visiting Cortona, Perugia and the many local villages. The owner has given details of some local places to visit as well as some restaurants to eat at and those we tried were excellent. Yes, there is hardly any internet but this is available locally if needed but to be honest we didn’t miss it, it was great to be able to enjoy time with the family in such an amazing and relaxing place.

Summary: The location for us was perfect!! Tranquil, relaxing and ideal for all the family. We used the superb infinity pool every day and evening and it was the perfect size for my son who enjoys swimming laps. The grounds offered plenty of places to relax and soak up the sun as well as two al fresco dining areas. The panoramic views are spectacular!! We loved the layout, art and furnishings throughout the property and felt we really had a luxurious and cultured experience. The proximity to local villages as well the beautiful town of Cortona kept us occupied every day. I'm planning to return this coming summer!!!

Summary: We fell in love with the Niccone Valley and magical little towns such as Preggio and Pierle. There are virtually no tourists there, but it's a quick ride to places like Cortona (25 minutes) in Tuscany and many other of the beautiful Umbrian hill towns. The villa is set on a hill with nice views of the valley, has a pleasant pool and is very tastefully decorated. We spent a lot of time on the terraces. However, it has no wi-fi access and that was not made clear upon our booking. While we appreciate being off the grid, it is nice to have 30 minutes each morning to check in and make sure work life is still in order. Had we known there was no wi-fi, we would not have booked. If a total getaway is what you're looking for, then this is a 5-star option.
