After looking for a villa in Turkey and trying out many resorts we fell in love with Uzumlu, with it being the unspoilt, un-commercialised traditional Turkey, yet in a prime position close enough to whatever type of activity or day out you want. Being 500m above sea level the lack of humidity and breeze is a welcome bonus on hot days. We looked at many villas to find the perfect holiday home before finding Oasis, the villa, the pool and of course location could not be beaten! There is a superb choice of restaurants in close walking distance to the villa, therefore ensuring no one has to drive especially when a 500ml Efes beer is significantly cheaper than tourist locations. Additionally there is a dolmus (bus) stop close by the villa with regular buses to Fethiye and beyond. A car is handy but not essential due to the frequent services of the dolmus. The pool is a huge bonus to us, with 87 strokes from one end to the other.

Summary: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ricky and Selina's stunning apartment in Turkey, and I can confidently say that it was a truly remarkable experience. Not only was the apartment itself a luxurious haven, but the compassion and understanding shown by Ricky and Selina during a difficult time truly made our stay unforgettable. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when my friend's father unexpectedly passed away just days before our planned vacation. Understandably, we were in a state of shock and unsure about whether we should proceed with our travel plans. However, Ricky and Selina's empathetic understanding and willingness to accommodate any changes or concerns made the decision much easier for us. From the moment we reached out to them, Ricky and Selina expressed their heartfelt condolences and assured us that they would do everything possible to support us during this challenging time. Their responsiveness and genuine care immediately put us at ease. They kindly offered to adjust our booking dates, allowing us the flexibility we needed to make the right decision for ourselves and our grieving friend. Not only did Ricky and Selina handle the logistical aspects of our stay with grace and compassion, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that our vacation was nothing short of fantastic. Summary: The villa is in a great location to explore a fantastic part of Turkey. It’s just a 5 minute walk from the traditional village of Uzumlu which is nestled in a beautiful valley of verdant mountains. The village is completely unpretentious and the locals very friendly. The Roman/Lycian ruins above the village at Cadianda are well preserved and well worth a trip. You also get a great view of the valley from the top of the mountain. There are lots of great options for local meals out as well as places that deliver food to the villa at very reasonable prices. Fetiye is a great place to explore and there are some great beaches that are a little off the beaten track (sunset at Kidrak beach was a firm family favourite) as well as the busier beaches such as Calis and Olu Deniz. You can hire a car very cheaply but there are also buses that run each hour which you can catch very near to the villa. The villa itself is really well equipped, very clean and the pool is amazing and very well maintained. We had lots of very lazy days in and around the pool. Communication with the owner Jason was fantastic. He was always very quick to respond and provided lots of really useful information about the villa and the surrounding area as well as recommendations for hire car companies etc. We really couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would love to return at some point in the future.

Summary: We found the villa to be immaculate, a real home from home, with everything you could possibly need for your holiday available. The picturesque village is about a 15 minute walk with plenty of shops and restaurants. The pool is amazing, very large and maintained each morning. The location of the villa is on a quite side street, very peaceful. The drive to Fethiye Harbour takes about 25 mins. We stayed during August, and having holidayed in Turkey previously at this time of year, decided to try Yeşilüzümlü, as I’d heard it was not as hot in the mountains. Spot on advice, very warm, but not as fierce as the coastal resorts. I would recommend highly and I’m planning on going again. The best villa I’ve stayed at. Thanks Jason.

Summary: Every year we get a villa somewhere new and this has been the best of them all. The villa itself is very spacious, well appointed and has everything you might need. The pool is amazing and the location is perfect in terms being walkable to a good selection of local restaurants and being away from any kind of tourist hub so it's peaceful and authentic. The owners are receptive, respond to all queries and provide lot of helpful information. 10/10. This one will be hard to top!

Summary: We have had a fantastic time in Oasis Villa in Uzumlu!! What a beautiful place, both the villa and the sleepy village. We are friends of Jason and Rachel and I believe this was their largest booking to date. The villa is so well equipped and so large that we felt like we were home from home. Great for kids and babies as we had plenty of those. We went on a boat trip with Deniz (Aegian Soul) recommended from Trip Advisor. It was well worth the trip. he does private boat hires and we were able to go with the little ones. We had dinner in the village at the Grape Garden and it was AMAZING. Sat on the rooftop and the food was great. Metin the villa management was amazing and organised transfers for us to go to places as we were such a big group. Guray who works at the "Lup Lup" restaurant is also lovely and very helpful. The food there is nice and cheap. If going to Fethiye market on Tuesdays, go early. It gets very hot and is almost unbearable. Uzumlu is perfect as the weather here is slightly cooler. The pool is amazing and Rachel & Jason have so many swimming equipment which is fabulous. We just wanted to spend all day in the pool! Would love to come back again. Thank you soooo much Rachel & Jason , we absolutely LOVED our stay in your beautiful villa.
