Positive: Loved the spacious room and large balcony it was immaculate. Free secure car parking. Beautiful views on to the gardens, great for our young dog to run around. Could of easily stayed another night on our travels. Loved it
Negative: Just have your own shower wash and water to drink. As long as you understand it's a residential care home that rents out empty rooms you will be fine. It's a fabulous place, just a little strange...

Positive: The towels were large and the parking was always available. It was quiet.
Negative: The usual city tax was not included (as is customary) in the booking.com confirmation so we were surprised to be charged a further 24 euros more on arrival. This was already our most expensive stay of our 6-week trip so were further disappointed to find it totally unsuitable for the kind of stay we expected from the description. It was often hard to find the staff at a desk and were non-English speaking, despite the listing claiming English spoken. Hoping to balance eating out with cooking at home, we discovered the meagre kitchen facilities to be quite useless for any kind of cooking. Of the few, unmatched, randomly numbered plates, utensils and pans, many were dirty with remains of eggs, coffee dregs, and clearly showing signs of not being washed and just replaced in cupboards after the previous renters. The cutlery - such as it was - was jumbled together in a small glass baking dish. There was no washing up liquid nor dishcloths. The WiFi code and network listed on their table wasn't correct, so they gave another. The uncovered rubbish bin had a too-small bag, with no readily available replacement and no guide as to how to dispose. There were no hooks and 3 coat hangers in the cupboard. No pictures on the walls, all very depressing - just symptomatic of a don't care attitude towards travellers. We strongly felt that although the descriptions 'sort of" were true, the meanness of it all struck us. Everything was minimal. And it is clearly an apartment which has been, or will be, a room for the elderly, where they bring their own furniture and paintings, and cutlery etc. The usual accoutrements of B&B or hotel rooms such as tissues, and paper towels were not there. There was an air of reluctance and miserliness - and we pitied any family who tried to exist here for any length of time, even though the room was spacious, which we did appreciate. It just does not serve as a normal accommodation for travellers. It is a rest home first and foremost.
