Summary: We loved our stay here the hotel had a funky vibe , great staff and the best cocktail in a Askja We loved our Philippino server jeshamina ( sorry for the spelling !) Super grateful for the northern lights call too

Summary: The odd thing is that this should be a great hotel, but it’s like it was designed by a person who doesn’t know about hotel design, or building. Small things like no thermostatic control in the room… it was hot, a note say open the window, don’t worry about the miges….. and they were right there were lots. Terrible lighting, really dark. A cheap awkward shower curtain to fix a design issue with the walk in shower that then lifts towards you as soon as you turn the shower on. A full power socket, right beside the tap in the bathroom … in the UK that would be against all building control regulations. Oh and lastly, the only hotel we stayed at where tourist tax was not included. Apparently this year they have decided that it’s an extra.

Summary: Free parking outside hotel. We had free use of the hotel hot tubs before 10pm with the booking but didn’t use them. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good black out curtains. You can eat at either the restaurant in the hotel or another (think probably bit cheaper) across the car park. We ate in and both enjoyed our meals, provided with good service. Breakfast was good with a reasonable range of items that were kept stocked. Happily stay again if ever in the area.

Summary: The hotel is fine, wifi is strong and breakfast is decent. However, there are a few issues. First, the toilet is a jet flushing type, think of an airplane toilet, and it's not working well. Over 1 night's stay i had to call the front desk to get them to fix it twice. Not having a reliable toilet is a not a good look for a hotel. Second, do not rely on the on-site EV charger, it's not working. Luckily there is a fast charging one in the parking lot of the Fosshotel My'vatn 5 minutes away. So, the better option is just to stay there.

Summary: Very small room, smallest room we had on our 3 week trip, and at over $200 it was not cheap. Easy check-in. Had a restaurant and bar, but not much else around it, like other restaurants. Very poor lighting.

Summary: Very nice one-night stay as we were traveling the Ring Road. The room was comfortable (yet unseasonably hot!) and the continental breakfast was delicious. The sack lunch was a great addition that we enjoyed on the banks of Studlagil Canyon - amazing day!
