Positive: This was a great location, close to Lake Wendoree where there is a fabulous 6km walking track around the lake and plenty of cafes and restaurants close by if you wanted a coffee or a meal. We spent a lot of mornings doing this and there was plenty of rowing on the lake to keep us entertained on Saturday morning! It is only 1-2 minutes from downtown Ballarat by car and would be an easy walk as well. The house was great with plenty of DVD's or books for your stay. The owners were very responsive any time we had a query both before and during our stay. It was lovely to sit outside and have a coffee or wine after a long day exploring the area. Highly recommend.

Positive: Cute old cottage, MacArthur House is worth the stay. The owners are lovely and extremely accommodating to make sure your stay is perfect. The house itself is freshly renovated, very clean, bedrooms are spacious and was large enough to accommodate 7 adults and 3 children, close to cafes with easy access to Ballarat central as well as sporting facilities. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for accommodation in Ballarat.
Negative: Our itinerary wouldn't allow us to stay longer.
