Positive: The property is lovely ..the restaurant is really nice and the food was delicious with good choice and staff were helpful, The room was large and clean and had all amenities in you would except ! didn’t do the spa or pool so can’t comment on those ,but the pool did look good from the windows
Negative: if your looking for a leisurely stroll after your meal there’s not that much too see… The king bed was two singles put together and my side sloped so didn’t have the best sleep but that was just me,you have to fill your empty water jug from a communal tap in the corridor which I didn’t like especially in the night when you’ve run out ,wasn’t ideal so fill up!

Positive: Great location and facilities. The check in was smooth and friendly receptionist. Enjoyed the pool, bar and restaurant facilities
Negative: The service in the evening and breakfast was somehow sketchy and slow. Maybe there were new staff on! Asking to put a Tab on either at the bar or reception area was a nightmare! As my card details are stored on my phone, I was not able to do so as they needed the long number!! Breakfast was ok but overpriced it was felt especially when you selected cooked English but could have some of the continental breakfast, which was unusual for a restaurant and 4 star hotel. When asked for the bill in the evening, it never came and had to ask again 15 mins later. The burger was nice but small for a £23 burger and the price of wine is way too pricey. £12 for a large glass of Zinfandel….
Summary: It was ok and staff were nice but needs improvements in the restaurant service (speed of drinks and food orders). There

Positive: Staff are really nice and location is great for the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel.
Negative: My room had been freshly painted the day before and the room smelled overwhelmingly of paint and solvent. The room should not have been allocated until it was properly dry. I would have given a better review but for this.

Positive: We loved the accommodation as we were out in the lodges which meant we had the use of a little lounge area for the group. Staff were very friendly, helpful (booking taxis etc) and informative. The use of the spa and gym facilities was really good too, specially if you arrive earlier than check in time.
Negative: On our second morning we went down for breakfast (pre-booked) and we were sat at two seperate tables meaning our group was split. We just pushed tables together however had thought we would be sat together as a group of 6 like we were the first morning. Also we were served moulded toast second morning too! The manager was quick to apologise and offered fresh toast however we had already eaten some by then. We were disappointed that we could only use the spa facilities until 11am check out. Other hotels we have stayed in allow you to use them after check out. The sauna was out of commission and there was no jacuzzi however the thermal warm tiled loungers were amazing!

Positive: Staff super friendly. The place is quaint, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the salt pool (no chlorine) and steam room. Bed super comfy. Room was spacious.
Negative: It was a bit run down- needs some repair but it wasn’t gros run down. Sauna wasn’t working.
