Summary: Accommodation was a bit tired, toilet didn’t flush, found previous guests possessions in one of rooms and pool was closed. Able to use a different pool locally but it was a drive away and had to take towels with us leaving deposit at resort and bring them back again which was a bit of a pain, particularly when we wanted to swim on morning of checkout.

Summary: Apartment allocated on arrival in disrepair. Trying to get this sorted out was extremely stressful and we spent 2 hrs trying talking to both MacDonald Resort staff and Hotels.com neither were taking ownership of sorting it out. Hotels.com solution was refund ! So we had travelled to Aviemore what did the expect us to do next !! Resort staff wanted us offered the only one apartment they said available if a lower standard than booked. There answer was to contact the third oarty we booked through - not very helpful ! Also advised on arrival that leisure facilities at site were closed.

Summary: Beautiful spacious villa with large conservatory looking over the golfcourse. Designated parking space and handy for all the resort and village facilities.

Summary: Overall for what we paid it was good value for money, staff were excellent but the property is in serious need of upgrades, it’s still very much a 1980s property, clean enough but it’s not as comfortable as it once was, it was better 15+ years ago when I last stayed and it was tired looking then, I paid a fair price when using my £134 key cain rewards but not sure paying full price would’ve been worth it, a serious upgrade and it could get a serious boost, the food was fair but limited with choice, not sure a steakhouse would be a fair description, again a bit more choice and it could be a busier place, it wasn’t busy at all any of the nights we were in, the lack of choice of food on the menu may have a part in that too.

Summary: Perfectly functional accommodation. It was clean and well appointed, but certainly nothing special. We had expected more and were a bit underwhelmed. Pool was out of order for our stay

Summary: I have stayed previously but found the apartment quite run down. Broken kitchen plinth, broken conservatory chair, chipped & stained paintwork, stained carpets. Definitely needs a repaint and new, easily cleaned flooring
