We are delighted that you chose to stay at our humble home here in Davis, WV. We hope that you find your stay with us to be relaxing, reinvigorating, and full of whatever adventures you love the most.
About the house:
The cabin offers 3 bedrooms (2 with ensuite bathrooms), and a loft, with a total sleeping capacity of 6. Enjoy your morning coffee or a meal on the front porch, and bring in the evenings on the back deck, surrounded by nothing but the trees.
The home is located within the Old Timberline community which is gated with a 24 hour security guard, offers two large lakes, 500 acres of conservancy land, and private access to both the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge and the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. The community also abuts Timberline Ski Resort; Mountainbrook is very close to Timberline, which means you can hit the slopes in under 5 minutes!
When you enter the main living space, you will be greeted by a Great Room with lofted ceilings and a spacious, well appointed kitchen with all the standard appliances, plenty of dish wear and cooking equipment. Also provided are salt, pepper, sugar, basic spices and some Keurig type coffee pods. On the back deck under a cover is a propane grill for your use. There is a large gas fireplace, so no messing around with logs and ashes. A TV and lots of games and puzzles in the great room, which offers a comfortable place to lounge and enjoy time with loved ones. Upstairs is a large yet cozy and relaxing loft space.
Continuing on the main floor of the cabin you will find two expansive bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. The Gray Room is equipped with a queen sized bed and you can wake up enjoying the best views into the woods. The Green Room is equipped with a king bed, a large reclining chair, and a TV.
In the lower level of the cabin, there is a third bedroom, with a king sized bed and a large desk. This space offers a quiet refuge from the rest of the house, with separate additional living space with TV and a full bathroom down the hall. The laundry is also located on this floor. Please note: There are two external security cameras (front door, driveway), not monitored during guest stays. All wheel drive or chains are often required during winter months. Vehicles not equipped can be parked in gatehouse parking area.

Summary: We had a wonderful weekend stay at the cabin. It had everything a family of six needed for a ski weekend of fun. We would stay here again.

Summary: We stayed here twice and enjoyed our stay both times. The house is very clean and close to Timberline. Easy check in process and communication with host. Spacious house with all the amenities you'd need. The beds in the loft are pretty firm which my kids did not like but the main beds were very comfortable! Loved having two separate living spaces on the main floor and basement. All around great place and would stay again.

Summary: Terrific house with so much space and everything you might need on a trip. Also great location, so close to skiing and just a short drive to Davis.

Summary: The house was well appointed and you can tell the owners truly care about the property and probably spend a lot of time there themselves. Our favorite features were the mud room where you could leave all of your ski stuff in the basement, the hot tub, and the comfortable beds. The great room with high ceilings was spacious. The fireplace and bathtub were out of commission when we were there and we would have loved to be able to use those, but we were told in advance they were not working. The communication from the owner was excellent and everything in the house was organized and labelled. We would definitely stay there again.

Summary: We had a great stay. The space is cute, the bedrooms are great, and the location to Timberline is ideal. The only negatives were that the hot tub was very dirty and the fireplace wasn't working. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would stay again

Summary: We had a wonderful stay. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Cozy family space for games or watching movies but lots of space for alone time too. Hot tub was great. Steps are a bit steep & narrow but manageable. We had a little difficulty with getting the form sent for the gated security but were able to get it worked out before arrival. Overall a great stay!

Summary: We arrived just before the snow and left just in time before the next snowfall. The house was cozy, very clean and had a lot of cooking gear, which was great because we cook a lot! I was a little bit worried because I got a message from the owner just before our departure that the woodstove was not working, they tried very hard to get the gas logs installed before our arrival, but that did not happen. Summary: The house looked just as it was pictured. They layout was great for what we needed. The only thing that wasn't mentioned was the strong smell of mold that was through out the house. My sister and I are very sensitive to mold, but it doesn't usually affect the rest of the family. My daughter's nose started running after being in the house only half an hour. The smell was definitely worse in the basement, but was noticeable the whole house. The stairs are really steep, so if you aren't good with stairs, avoid this house. The Owner was very easy to get in contact with and responded fairly quickly
