Welcome to our meticulously renovated country hideaway. The 4, 000 sq feet lodge features wood and stone finishes bathed in natural light streaming from huge windows throughout the property. Cathedral ceilings, framed by stunning views, common areas are perfect for unwinding after a long day filled with adventure and provide ample space for any size groups. The 3-stories feature a spacious open-concept living area, Five bedrooms, media and sitting rooms, and Four full baths, with space to accommodate up to 12 guests comfortably. Common spaces are designed to unwind after a day outdoors. Enjoy a fresh pot of coffee, home cooked meal, or a glass of wine around the dining table or in the recently renovated kitchen, gourmet kitchen, featuring modern appliances, stone surfaces, and stocked with daily essentials (salt, pepper, coffee, sugar, etc) and everything that you will need to cook a gourmet meal.
Sink into our living area's comfy chairs to enjoy a good book or gather in the media room and watch your favorite flicks on our flat screen HDTV. There is also a smart TV in the master bedroom on the 3rd floor and on the first floor. High-speed internet is also available throughout the home for your convenience.
The newly renovated bathrooms feature first-class modern fixtures with tasteful tile work. Master bath also offers a jacuzzi tub for an extra romantic evening. Essential toiletry items, cotton bath towels available for your convenience. Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer during the entirety of their stay. Please be sure to bring your own supplies.
In addition to the home’s indoor spaces, guests are also welcome to make use of the private patio and yard after an afternoon of skiing, golfing or hiking. The outdoor spaces provide a restful escape from the hustle and bustle of your everyday busy lives.
We have put a significant amount of time and emotional energy into this space so we hope to share it with others who will appreciate and love our home as much as we do.
****Please Note: This home is located in a secured, private community. You will need to fill out a rental application that will be sent to you by our property manager. This will need to be completed and signed, (to include the names, ages, addresses and relationships to you for all of your guests) for entrance into the community. This will need to be completed 7 days before your arrival the community will assess a $100 late fee that you will be responsible for. You may not exceed the max amount of people allowed and there are no more than 6 cars allowed in the driveway. No other guests can visit the lot while you are there. Items provided in the home to include games, appliances etc. are subject to change without notice.***

Summary: The property was great and close to the main office and pools, mini golf, playground, recycling/trash center. Our 6 kids (and their parents) loved the pools and playground area. The only drawback to the location of the property itself is that it's too far away from grocery stores, gyms, or shopping. My husband needed a bigger gym than was on the premises, so he had to travel 35 minutes to the closest one. Also, as soon as we arrived we went to main office to check in. We were astonished that we needed to pay extra for the 11 passes needed to use the amenities (pools, gym, etc.). The description of the property on VRBO clearly stated that "The Nightly Rate INCL the use of the amenities at $7PP 2Yr and up, per day." We had to pay an additional $350 upon arrival. Thankfully, Candace, the property manager, contacted the owner and he agreed to pay for half, which we really appreciated. THIS NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED ON THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY FOR FUTURE GUESTS TO BE MADE AWARE. Also, upon arriving at the house, all the remotes for the TVs had no batteries and no Roku. Again, Candace came through and bought new Rokus for each TV and reimbursed us for the batteries we needed to purchase. But the first night, with no TVs and 6 kids, was very stressful and unnecessary. The cleaning people should have caught this so it could have been corrected prior to us arriving. Another negative was the trash center was only opened every other day, which is ridiculous and didn't open until noon on Friday, the day we were leaving . Since we had to be out by 11 (we actually left before 9 a.m.) I called Candace and she allowed us to leave 2 bags of trash in the laundry room. OVERALL, we had a great vacation and Candace was super helpful and always responded to my calls and texts.

Summary: We loved this house! It was so convenient to big bear mountain and it made it so easy to spend the day on the slopes and come back to relax! There were ample living spaces for our kids to play and for the adults to hang out. We felt very comfortable and welcome by the owners! Thank you so much for a great trip!

Summary: I would visit the home again ! Beautiful kitchen and the rooms are clean and equipped with towels for every guest. The host was easy to get in contact with and the welcome gift bottle of champagne was a nice surprise! Would def like to visit again in the summer months .

Summary: My family and I had a wonderful time for a weekend ski getaway. There were 15 of us in total and we felt like the house was large enough to accommodate all of us. There was plenty of room for all of us and not feel like we were on top of each other. There was plenty of activities to enjoy within the house for the kids/teens. Air hockey, ping pong, pool. Big screen tvs for the football games! The kitchen had everything you could need. There was a grill out in the deck for us to use too. Super close to ski big bear. It was a great weekend and we would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Rented for a 50th birthday party with adults and children. Location to the pool and farmers market was great- within walking distance. The lake is a short drive but you have to drive. The checkin process didn’t work so I had to contact owner and we needed to use a key as the keypad didn’t work at all. He respond very quickly. When we got there the lights on the steps were broken and there was garbage and a cooler thrown out under then deck- we sent pictures immediately. House is clean and large and has everything you need - built in coffee maker- awesome but we had to google the instructions and clean the unit. Outside grill was filthy so we couldn’t use it- used the Viking grill and stove but after we cleaned it. Enough dishes utensils and space for our entire group-and they left items from prior renters and we ended up using the one big dish. Didn’t use any of the leftover spices though. Huge bedrooms and bathrooms and lots of parking. Ping pong and pool was a huge hit with the teenagers. We will be back again when the next wave of us turn 50!

Summary: Inside: meticulously clean; well equipped kitchen; pool table was well used; ragged ping pong equipment (unusable); back deck was filthy with chairs with torn cushions; gas grill was unusable (a major disappointment); front deck was dirty but usable; great location, near all facilities, which are excellent (2 great pools, mini golf, basketball court, tennis courts, playground); overall enjoyed the stay but the outside badly needs correction.

Summary: Overall stay was nice. Our group had a wonderful time at the community pool and lake was gorgeous! House was as pictured. There could have been a clearer, more lit path down to the fire pit. The grill was completely rotted out so we could not use at all.

Summary: We had a great time at this home. Plenty of space for everyone and a beautiful kitchen. I do recommend if you are a coffee drinker to bring your own pot as there is a keruig machine (but you must get your own K cups) and an espresso machine that was not easy to use. It also had so many old grinds in it, we decided to not use it. There was also still Christmas decorations up, like the pictures show. Not too annoying but strange to see Christmas in July. The area is beautiful and many amenities. Like most places in the Poconos, it is not close to a grocery store (about 25 minutes) prepare accordingly. We still had a wonderful time in this beautiful home.
