Beautiful warm Maine cabin situated in the middle of The Pleasant Point Nature Preserve, with spectacular ocean views, private beach, great for families, on 4 acres of open fields and woods. Located on Stones Point Road.
Great location for walking and bike riding. Swim in the calm cove waters. Sit on the stone patio or out on the ledge looking out to the many beautiful historical Maine islands. Cabin sleeps 5 comfortably, 3 bedrooms, one bath, eat in kitchen, living room with fireplace, both rooms with great views of the ocean and woods, outside
shed with second refrigerator and washer and dryer and plenty of fire wood.
Cabin includes, Full kitchen, wood burning stove, linens, telephone, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dish washer dishes/utensils, TV, WIFI, books, games, BBQ grill, small deck and stone porch.
In the immediate area you can hike the trails in nearby conservation
preserves. Take an outing to Rockland , a growing art community with many
galleries , including the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Wyeth Art Center.
Or visit the close by village of Camden with its
many good restaurants and
nice boutiques. You are only an hour from Freeport
and an extraordinary
day of discount shopping. And there are many

Summary: We had a lovely time at this cottage. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were nice. David always responsive if I had any questions and we took advantage of his lobster contact. The cabin is a good size and dog friendly which is a plus since taking the dog is a must. Take time at night to turn off all the lights and enjoy the stars. Overall we had a great time.

Summary: Homey, no-frills cottage perfect for our celebratory post-Covid vacation. The location couldn't be beat. The house was comfortable, with room for weekend guests. The fireplace came in handy on cooler June evenings. Nights were exquisitely quiet! We took advantage of the kayaks and the nature preserve, but were happy most days to walk around the neighborhood or to the small beach. Because my husband and I are avid cooks we brought a few essential knives from home, but for most every day needs the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The owner was very responsive throughout our stay. As a past reviewer noted, cell service was occasionally spotty, but it mattered little to us as we were there to have a largely gadget-free 10-days.

Summary: We loved staying at the Yellow Cottage. The location was phenomenal, with the private beach just steps away from the house. The kayaks provided were a hit with our whole family. We found everything we needed. Only downside was doghair in the living room and in the bedrooms. But with a little cleanup, everything was fine.

Summary: Comfortable stay with fabulous views! Watched fishing, lobster, and pleasure boats come and go. Even a sailboat race on Sunday! The private beach was a great plus. Very quiet location, very few neighbors, and walking trails through the preserved lands just down the road. Lots of fabulous produce stands nearby for fresh veggies, baked goods, and preserves. Owner was very responsive with any needs and even gave us contact info for fresh off the boat lobsters just down the road. Doesn’t get any better! Highly recommend!

Summary: We spent the week with our dog and had a great time. The views from the house cannot be beat and it's the perfect location for kayaking, which we did multiple times. We did have to work a few days and the internet was strong. Cell reception was limited, but that was ok for us. The location is very peaceful and remote. We enjoyed cooking at the house and sitting by the water.

Summary: The location is wonderful being both out in a beautiful rural countryside and directly oceanfront! The cottage had us wanting for nothing, furnished so as to make yourself completely at home instantly, fireplace with firewood, beautiful knotty pine interior throughout, well-stocked bookshelves, wonderful artwork and accessories and outside are mesmerizing views, loved watching the lobster boats making their rounds sitting on the front porch, the swinging bench or lounge chairs. Speaking of lobster, the owner let me know where to buy lobster locally fresh off the boat and that was taken full advantage of. The kitchen was well equipped, we not only bought local lobsters but also steamers, oysters, eggs, farm stand produce and beer, we brought some basic provisioning with us, ie coffee, butter, lemons etc, and never went into an actual supermarket which is about 25 minutes away. The cottage is in a nature preserve so that there will not be any future development to spoil the idyllic setting. At the end of our stay we were quite sad that it was over but buoyed up by the plan to return again to this slice of heaven. The owner was quite helpful by promptly answering any questions and that was greatly appreciated.
