Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location in the center of Saint Gaudens, but in quiet corner off main square. Great views and bright, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff arranged to greet us early and accommodated our bicycles. Saint Gaudens had a very friendly and appealing vibe, including renovated streets and a new central gourmet market hall.

Negative: Breakfast was very continental, so as cycle tourists we would have liked some yogurt, muesli, or egg option. The large paper and pulp mill mentioned in other reviews is down in the valley and didn’t bother us at all except a bit of haze obscuring the morning views.

Summary: Great option for overnight stay on V81 cycle route
