Positive: Genuine french property and hosts. Beautiful old character house with lots of authentic art, easy to find and located well to visit the whole region. Although the village has no restaurant it does have a self service shop which you can download an app to use and it is quite well stocked. In any case close to cognac only a couple minutes drive.

Negative: I would have liked a key to lock my bedroom door.
