Positive: We had an incredible stay at this bed and breakfast in Perreuse while attending a wedding nearby. Coming from city life ourselves, it was such a special experience to completely unplug and slow down in the French countryside. The village is incredibly peaceful and quiet, and the beautiful weather made it even better. We spent time relaxing outside by the pool and truly enjoying the calm atmosphere. What made the experience unforgettable, though, were the hosts. Every morning they prepared thoughtful breakfasts with fresh local produce, and they were so generous with their time and hospitality. They shared the history of the home, the village, and the surrounding area with so much pride and passion. You could immediately feel how deeply they care about preserving the local culture and traditions, and they were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay. We also visited Puisaye during a local market day, which was such a memorable experience. The town was full of character, charm, and authenticity. There are also many nearby historical sites and beautiful places to explore, though unfortunately we did not have enough time to see everything. If you are looking to experience the French countryside, disconnect from busy city life, and enjoy genuine hospitality, we highly recommend staying here. The hosts truly made this experience unforgettable, and we are very grateful for everything they shared with us about their history and culture. It is a trip and experience we will never forget.

Positive: Amazing stay. The owners are very very nice. We enjoyed an amazing breakfast on the terrace and had a dive into the pool later.
Negative: There is nothing to complain about.

Positive: Fantastical historical building. Set admid amazing panoramic views and a few miles from the Castle of Guedelon which was the target of our visit. Unfortunately road was closed off and being dug up when we arrived. Bertrand came to meet us and showed us how to get closer to the property. Both he and Flore made us extremely welcome and did all that they could to make us welcome. Rang the local cafe to book us a table and next morning served us an excellent breakfast with delicious bread. Gave us a brief tour of the medieval parts of the house.
Negative: Curtains didn’t quite cover the windows in the bedroom but as it was a wet morning not much light came in but would have been a problem in bright sunshine.
Summary: Extremely welcoming hosts to a property brimming with history!
