Positive: This is a jewel, a beautiful little place tucked away just behind Autun Cathedral (but you can drive to it). It is a B&B, so you get a wonderful breakfast. The host/hostess are extremely courteous and knowledgeable. They sent me on a delightful hike through the town and out into the countryside which was *exactly* what I wanted to do. At the same time, they were perfectly respectful of my desire for privacy. The room was charming and decorated with a bit of "Provencal" colored textiles. If this place is available when you are going to Autun, you should definitely reserve it.

Positive: Elegantly and tastefully furnished. A small historic hotel with easy parking, right next to the cathedral. Lovely breakfast and every kind of hot drink available whenever needed. A treat !
