Positive: The location was excellent right in the heart of things. The very nice person who served breakfast was wonderful

Negative: Also categorized by Booking.com as a chambre d’hote, it is more like a small hotel. Virtually no interaction with the hosts(was not introduced to the hostess nor did she introduce herself the one time I saw her. The hair dryer in our room did not work and even though this was brought to the attention of the host, nothing was done to solve the problem

Positive: Everyone was very helpful.

Negative: We were on a two week cycling trip in Burgundy. We had a car, 2 bikes, 2 very large duffles with rollers, 1 duffle without rollers and a hanging bag and backpack. There is no parking at Maison Tandem and it is on narrow one way street where we blocked traffic when we loaded and unloaded. Checking is not until 4:00pm. We felt badly because the duffles could not be rolled on the gravel paths and there were stairs that needed to be navigated to get to our room. Cedric carried everything without complaint but we felt badly about the burden we put on him. There were no closets or drawers in the room. The A/C worked well in our room. I think this is a good place to stay if you don’t have much luggage for a short stay to visit Cluny. Cluny is well worth exploring. We stayed 1 night. The staff is very nice.

Positive: Beautiful & modern interiors, lovely quiet garden with pool, great location in Cluny, very friendly host, breakfast was very tasty on the outside terrace & can book it for anytime in the morning.

Negative: The bathroom door in our room was very difficult to open and close, (the door handle may just need fixing). It’s difficult to find parking on street, there is free parking a 5-10minute walk away though.
