2 Bedroom Cabin in Gore, Winchester

Spectacular 100 mile panoramic view from the top of Big Bear Mountain. This well appointed cabin has an open floor plan with an updated kitchen and breakfast bar with seating for four. Living room has comfortable furnishings and a wood burning fireplace with raised hearth. Two spacious bedrooms and custom bathroom. Watch the sunrise and sunset over Shenandoah Valley from the wrap around deck. Comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing. Close to wineries and historic downtown Winchester.
The space
The privacy and views on top of the mountain make my home the perfect getaway. The wrap around deck with outdoor dining chase lounge chairs and additional seating makes it a perfect spot to spend the day. My home is well equipped and maintained. Historic Old Town Winchester is only a 15 minute drive from the bottom of the mountain. You are close to many vineyards and wineries. There is a 20+ mile hiking trail on top of the mountain. Once a booking is made I will provide you with directions to local activities and wineries. There is high speed internet and excellent cell service.

Other Things To Note
When you book my mountain cabin you will have the entire house at your disposal. There are no shared spaces. The front bedroom has a power adjustable bed. Both mattresses are Sealy Posturepedic for your comfort.
Other things to note
I ask that you refrain from having a fire in the fireplace if the wind is blowing more than 15 mph. Being on top of the mountain there can be high winds in the fall and winter. Even with a chimney cap a gust of wind can come down the flu sending hot embers into the living room.

Summary: All the amenities you need. Fun drive to the top of the mountain. Pictures dont do justice for the view. Stores close by. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Very much worth the stay

Summary: Did a relaxing weekend this property was amazing. It was icy at 32 degrees getting there, so the road was treacherous and barley passable, but once we made it, the experience was exactly what we needed. When the weather cleared later the next day the view is breathtaking. I'll be staying here again if I need some time away from the city in the mountains.

Summary: The pictures on the profile cannot capture the beauty of the view from the living room and kitchen. It is genuinely breathtaking. The cabin is clean and equipped with all appliances. The internet /cellphone service is good enough to stream movies on various apps. There are many chairs to sit outside to admire the view. Expect a steep road to get to the cabin. However, it is a given considering the fact that cabin is on a top of a mountain.
