Positive: What a stunning oasis just off Orpen gate road. Staff that go out of their way to assist guests, quick & easy to contact, share stories, connect over tasty meal. There are plenty of 5* lodges in the area. This is authentic, friendly, and good service at an affordable rate.
Negative: Be warned, if you coming from Jhb side, road to Dullstroom is good, town quaint, with lovely food & shopping options, sadly road after that towards Mashishing & Ohrigstad is full of potholes in both directions, no run off........cost us huge amount of stress, 2 bent rims, most of road can only navigate in daylight safely at no more than 60km/hr, we believe TyreMart Hoedspruit, who were very helpful & assisted us after business hours, had serviced 2 other cars that very day! Locals advise, rather travel Tzaneen - Polokwone road, longer, but actually quicker & safer!

Positive: Even has its own wildlife. When we arrived two Zebra brothers where waiting just inside the main gate, had to wait 10 mins for them to move 😀 Food was amazing. Simone is a brilliant cook, tried loads of food i would never order on a menu, delicious! Simone and Morné are great company. Morné, being a ranger for 17yrs knew so much about the wildlife. Well worth a visit. Close to the orpen gate entrance to Kruger Park.
Negative: Sadly, didn't get to see any lions or lepards upclose on our trip. Not the lodges fault. We did see wild dogs which is a rarer sight!

Positive: That was one of the best hotel experiences that I ever had. The place was very clean, very pretty, the room is big, there s a beautiful pool and everything you need. Butttt the food was insane. I had one of the best meal of my life at the dinner. It’s so fresh and so good! I would came back to eat all the time, it’s like you are in a fancy restaurant for a couple of days. Beside the host are THE MOST AMAZING host that you will ever met. Simone and Morne are super careful, super thoughtful, it changes completely our Kruger experience. What can I said? I wish the restaurant was close to My house so I can go every month , it was so good! I highly recommend.
