Positive: This was our second stay at the Manade Des Baumelles and it never disappoints. The location is great, the staff super helpful and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable (with air conditioning) and some of them even have a small kitchen; and the horse club L'Instant Guardian managed by a lady named Isabelle is one of the best in the area. We had an issue with the TV when we arrived, which was a bit disappointing given the Olympics were on. Morgane, a very helpful staff, offered an immediate solution and provided us access another room to watch TV there if we wished, and the next day it got fixed. At the manade, time slows down and you feel like you are in a special place away from the hustle and bustle, where you can truly relax. This is a great stop for families with children. Ours ride horses there and love the fact that there are many animals on the manade itself. Saintes Marie de la Mer, a lovely coastal town, is a 15 minute drive and there are two main activities nearby also worth doing: the bird park and the gipsy/horse live show named Camarkas.
Negative: The mosquitoes during the horse ride. You have to wear effective repellent and clothes that will prevent them biting you.
