Welcome to our Ultimate Vacation Getaway in a quiet friendly neighborhood located on a wide direct Gulf Access canal. Enjoy the screened in heated pool whether swimming or just lounging out on the sun shelf which also serves as a great play area in the water for kids. If coming by boat or plan on renting a boat once your here, you will have access to a covered boat lift or 80’ of dockage behind the lift. If fishing is for you, you will love fishing right off the dock or you can just enjoy the sunset while you watch the dolphins and manatees cruise on down the canal. We are a quick enjoyable boat ride away from local restaurants and beaches on Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers along with all of the other beautiful islands that surround us. The island provides local shops, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies as well as other places to fit everyone’s needs. Once inside, you will find 4 bedrooms plus a den along with 3 full bathrooms and a half bath. Enjoy our large open kitchen with large island to make gatherings extra special. This house is set up to make memories in and has everything you will need once you arrive. All travelers will have access to the PRIVATE boat ramp located on Manatee Dr. for those that want to bring their boat on a trailer. There is also plenty of parking for vehicles, boat trailers and even RV’s.

Summary: This is our second year staying at the Manatee Bay House. It has plenty of room for our large family, our dogs and boats. We cook almost all of our meals in the extra large kitchen and it was complete with everything we needed to do that. We just bought the food. We played board games on the large dining room table in the evenings. The outside pool was great for cooling off in after a long day fishing or cruising around in our boats. Our guys caught their limit of trout everyday. Daniel the property manager was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We had a wonderful family vacation at the Manatee Bay House. God willing, we will go back next year!

Summary: Great house for fun in the sun. Enjoyed fishing off the dock with the grandkids and fishing the channels for snappers. Kids enjoyed the kayaks too. The pool area is wonderful for relaxing after a day on the boat. Daniel is a great host and is quick to respond to any issues you may have. The house has lots of great ammenities which is a rare find for a vacation rental. Just be sure everyone in your party can handle going up and down stairs. The pool and garage are the only thing at ground level. If you do bring your boat and are not familiar with the waterways, ask a local. Most will be happy to share the quickest ways to get around. Try Blue Dog for lunch or dinner too. Had a great time.

Summary: This was a different type of vacation then we normally do however it was a pleasure to mix things up. Danny was great in making sure we had everything needed plus knew some great spots to visit. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The pool was great and we took advantage of renting a pontoon boat (Patriot Rentals) which was delivered right to the dock for us. The house has many items to enjoy which includes: 3 Kayak's , 4-5 fishing poles , 2 bikes, Corn hole boards and tons of board games. We ventured off to Fort Myers for a fishing charter one of the days as well (Caption Tony's). Fishing right off the dock, you will catch and release so many fish just there. None for dinner but just for enjoyment. Be careful not to grab the Catfish as they have a back spine that could get you. The only thing to note is while there is grocery stores close (Winn-Dixie is 5 mins down the road and Public's is 7 mins), the cost of food is certainly much higher then most places in the country so budget for that increase. Other activities are 20-50 mins away from the house but that is not a negative at all. I would recommend Danny and this home to everyone!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the Manatee House. Danny was very helpful answering questions before our arrival, with local recommendations while we were there, and fast to respond when a door handle was not cooperating with us. (He came to replace it the same day. ) We enjoyed watching the birds, manatee, and jumping fish in the canal. We liked the comfy beds, the game room, and that there was a bluetooth speaker in the pool area. We also liked that non-perishable items like shampoo, coffee, and plastic wrap) left from previous guests were there. We like to go to a new place every year, but if we return to Pine Island we would stay at the Manatee House again!

Summary: Wonderful experience staying at the Manatee House! We were a group of two families totaling 7 people, including three pre-teenagers. We made great memories during our Spring Break week staying at this home. The house was very well-maintained, spacious and clean. The owner was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to answer questions and provide recommendations. The house is very well-stocked with bbq grills, bikes, fishing equipment, kayaks and more —pretty much anything and everything that you need to enjoy Pine Island to the fullest. The pool was a big hit with the kids, we caught surprisingly large fish off of the backyard dock and experienced a manatee sighting! Great day trips to Sanibel and Captiva and easy drive to Matlacha which consisted of cute waterfront restaurants and shops. Nice, quiet neighborhood and easy drive to and from the airport. If we ever return, we would definitely rent a boat to explore the island even further. We highly recommend this home and Pine Island and give the owners five stars!

Summary: Pine Island is a nice quiet island; probably what Sanibel was like 40 years before overcrowding. The house was perfect for us being in a central location on the island with canal access. Easy day trips to Naples Tin City, Captiva for Bubble Room, and Edison House at Ft Myers. Really enjoyed the heated pool and game room. Would highly recommend renting a boat to explore. The owner was very easy to work with and provided great recommendations for not only boat rentals but restaurants and other things to do. Would highly recommend.

Summary: We rented Manatee House for our third annual friends and family getaway. The house was perfect for a large group, very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed. I slept like a rock on the most comfortable vacation bed. The kids enjoyed the pool, and the kayaks, and we made use of the grill with local fresh caught fish. Quiet neighborhood on a beautiful canal, in easy driving distance of plenty of tourist activities and beaches. Excellent communication and recommendations from our host. Would go back in a heartbeat.
