Summary: The dining options were confusing. You need to make a reservation by 10 am for the restaurants and the online reservations didn't work. If you were not in line by 9:45 you didn't get a reservation and your only option was the buffet which was decent and had a lot of options.

Summary: This property is nothing like what you see on the site pictures. The food was disgusting and always cold. They ran out of drink often and when asked would it be refilled, I was told "not right now." The rooms had multiple holes in the walls from what looked to be moving the light fixture, etc. We were supposed to have a king size bed and it was two twins pushed together using separate linen. The fridge says it's restocked every day which is a lie. It wasn't even stocked when we got into the room. Lastly, we called and asked for towels Sunday evening. They didn't arrive until Monday morning around 9:30 am, after having to call two more times. Also, out of four elevators in the main building to get to rooms, only one worked and it's extremely small. We took the stairs the entire time because staff and guests both had to share the one elevator. I will never suggest this place to anyone.

Summary: What a time we had at Mangrove. General dining room had good food with lots of choices and accommodating staff. Workers were always working. Entertainment was mid with a few decent nights sprinkled in. Extremely tough to get a reservation at a la carte restaurants. Need a better system for that. Clean wash cloths seems to have a shortage. Beach shoes are a non negotiable. The beach is extremely rocky although the water is calm and nice temperature. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend staying at Mangrove even with these suggestions.

Summary: The Italian specialty restaurant was out of this world. Truly amazing-best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. Had a great time and would definitely go back.

Summary: Beautiful property but not well maintained. Broken elevators in building one, restrooms at lobby out of order, swimming pool around swim up bar wasn’t clean, restaurant food lacked variety, often we had to wait for plates/silverware to be replenished - staff not very friendly.

Summary: Lots to do for kids and families. Staff wasn’t too friendly or accommodating. Elevators were out of order which was inconvenient. Very hard/almost impossible to make reservations for the restaurants on the property.

Summary: We just left after a 1 week stay. We found the staff to be largely indifferent and did not go out of their way to help or provide services. Twice the beach towel hut did not have fresh towels. The pool bar ran out of blue curacao one day. The main dinning restaurant did not get restocked regularly- it was really hard to get a reservation at the specialty restaurants so we often ended up at the main restaurant. It was a nice enough resort but truly nothing special....the little things they could have done to make the place special just were not done.
