Positive: Host waiting with keys despite of late arrival. Spacious apartment, nice balcony and view. Coffe

Negative: It might be a very nice place for a few days’ holiday, but the apartment is not suitable for a short 1–2 night stay. First of all, after paying through Booking, I received a message from the host saying there was an additional fee of €10 to be paid upon arrival. This was supposedly for electricity and a kind of “donation” for animals. It’s not a large amount, but it significantly changed the value for money, considering I booked the apartment for just €40 — that’s a 25% increase. There were plenty of other offers for €50, and possibly better places. The main reason is that if you don’t have time to light a fire in the open fireplace, you’ll have to rely on small electric heaters and endure a rather cold night. Finally, the included breakfast was a joke: there were rusks lying on the table and a single spoonful of jam. I know what a typical Italian breakfast is like, but this was nothing like that.
