Positive: Location is close to the beach, the owners are very nice and have helped us a lot. breakfast was very good. great communication with us when we had to change the length of our stay
Negative: the AC, the electricity and internet went out and then on again. they told us it was because of the rain, which can happen i guess. the room lacks ventilation with only one small window and even though the bathroom has additional ventilation you can hear the rest of the house talking through the ventilation shaft. compared to other options in the region it isnt the best stay but it was a nice stay for sure.

Positive: Highly recommend a stay at the Marari Gods Own Villa. The location is perfect - a stones throw from a beautiful Indian beach. Rooms are spacious, simply furnished and comfortable. The family are super friendly, caring and inspiring. And, as you’ll read in the other reviews, are what sets this homestay apart and makes it truly special . If you are looking for a peaceful friendly homestay by the beach look no further.

Positive: Just wow. What a great place to stay. Just a minute walk to the most idyllic beach, really clean and seemingly endless, and the sunsets are to die for. The room was the high standard of a hotel room, spotlessly clean and comfortable (the bed was sooooo comfy!), good a/c. But what sets this place apart is the exceptional service, so friendly and personal. The family are the loveliest people and went out of their way to make us feel special. The three daughters are amazing young women, so engaging and vivacious, they will go far in life, and they speak amazing English. Aunty cooks the most amazing food, we had a truly delicious dinner and the best breakfast we have had in India - coconut and caramelised banana pancakes with fresh homegrown papaya and masala tea, just sublime! Such good value too. If we could give more than 5* we would. Couldn’t recommend more.

Positive: Cosy homestay near the sea run by the cutest family. The mom of the homestay cooks amazing breakfast and dinner. Her pancakes and fish were our favourite. We enjoyed talking with the family and getting to know about coastal life and life in general in Kerala. We stayed in the 2 upper rooms. The rooms were spacious and spotless. We could see the sea from the balcony, which was amazing. I would highly recommend this homestay if you want to spend some good time near Marari Beach.
Negative: Nothing. All was great. :)

Positive: A strongly conditioned attitude to do the best to satisfy customers, overcoming limitations that many others pronounce as impossible… and more over not seeing the service is an economic activity.
Negative: The suggestions are specific for me / considering my limitations: 1. The height of the bed is not suitable for my age… 2. I would have longed for a sturdy / firm bed with memory form on top to add to my comfort. 3. A small shelf / cupboard to keep minimum dress, 4. Some provision to keep the bag / luggage so that the aged / senior citizens do not have to bend. 5. It is okay to charge a little more! Do not make the customer feel that they are paying less.
Summary: We walked bare foot on the sandy beach, relished healthy homely food…. Value greater than money.

The villa, nestled near Marari Beach, offered a perfect opportunity to reconnect as a family in such a peaceful setting. The food was outstanding, showcasing Kerala cuisine's flavors.
