Nestled under the tall canopy of trees along the banks of the crystal-clear Cypress Creek, this property offers peace, tranquility and creek frontage with a spring-fed swimming hole. Just 10 minutes from Wimberley Town Square, we are a great jumping off point for area attractions or better yet, the perfect place to relax and soak up the serenity of the Hill Country. As part of a 10 acre retreat, this property offers plenty of space for exploring, playing, swimming, and lounging. Eat breakfast on the screened-in porch, then lounge on floats and swim in the cooling waters of spring-fed Cypress Creek, then read a book in the hammock and listen to the breeze through the trees.
Loaded with charm, The Cedar Cabin is perfect for a cozy solo retreat, a romantic couple's weekend or can be rented with the other two houses to accomodate a group. The cabin sleeps two in a bedroom with queen-sized bed, has one bathroom with bath and hand-held shower, a cozy living room, kitchenette, and comfortable screened-in porch. It sits a couple of hundred feet from the creek and is adjacent to a common lawn area with picnic table and grill, a swing, and hammock. The cabin is one of four houses on the property that we own and manage. Rented together, they are the perfect place for retreats with family and friends! Rented alone, this house offers plenty of privacy from the others.

While our beloved Jacob's Well provides near continuous flow to Cypress Creek we are now susceptible to periods of decreased flow during prolonged dry spells. This can diminish water quality to the point where swimming is not recommended. Please know that we can not refund your stay based on creek conditions nor can we predict future conditions. Current drought status for Hays county can be found online and water quality information for our part of Cypress Creek can be found on the Jacob's Well website during the swimming season.

Summary: Cabin and setting are lovely. We really enjoyed it. The cabin is somewhat drafty and does not have central heating, so be ready to bundle up inside if it gets below 40 outside. They do provide lots of blankets.

Summary: What an amazing get away we hiked old boldly we walked down town for market days we walked near Jacobs well. We sat and enjoyed the swing on the tree we enjoyed the enclosed patio listening to the rain. My favorite was no TV absolute quite woke up to the birds and rain it was an amazing getaway we will definitely come back to this property

Summary: Was excited based on the location and photos of the property. Upon arrival we were a little shocked that the photos were not very factual. Weeds were grown up around the entire property blocking any view of the creek. Screen door latches are not my idea if security. Did see a couple of deer and turkey but the only birds we saw were two buzzards eating a dead raccoon. Spider webs and wasp nest outside and my wife had a large spider drop in her hair while on the screened porch. Small a/c in living room don't cool to well during heat of the day. Guess that may be the reason for the box fans on the floor. At approximately $ 230.00 a day, I expected more, so we left a day early and won't be returning.

Summary: I hate to tell you about it because it was one of the most charming places that I have ever been. The water was some of the cleanest as it comes out of the nearby well! The cabins are the nicest. It is a well kept secret.
