Summary: The property and home were lovely and very convenient for our family weekend reunion in Rowlands. Sleeping accomodations worked well for our party of 8 adults. Just wished we could all sit around the kitchen table at the same time since it only fit 6. Was happy to find the coffee pot! But, a drain board for the dishes would help since you can't use the dishwasher. Everyone loved the sofa which was very comfortable! Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: My family enjoyed a great winter break from school at this charming mountain house in the Masthope community. The home has four large bedrooms, two situated on the main floor and two on the second floor providing plenty of room for us and our three kids. There is a play room on the lower level as well as a ground floor entrance with storage for boots, jackets, and ski equipment. Having access to a full kitchen was great for our week long stay. This mountain house is in close proximity to Ski Big Bear which has a deli/convenience store, a full service restaurant and pub at the main lodge providing meal options for any family. The ski facilities for Ski Big Bear were great, easy access to rental equipment and ski lessons. I highly recommend Ski Big Bear for families and beginner skiers. The Home also offered access to a washer and dryer which was quite handy, even though we brought quite a bit of clothes, having three kids there’s always laundry to be done. Overall the price, quality of the accommodation and location was a good value.

Summary: Upon driving up to the property I was impressed by its rustic charm, from the wrap around porch to the plethora of beautiful greenery surrounding the house. Once inside, I was pleased with the decorative accents such as the antique skis, the fireplace, and the deep, sloped ceilings. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. It afforded us all the necessary amentities such as two bathrooms, a full kitchen with microwave and regular oven, roomy closets, a large enough garage for my vehicle, a semi finished basement complete with a washer/ dryer, outside access to the yard from multiple levels and a video game system for my kids. The basement was well lit and dry with room for everyone to spread out and relax with their friends. The location of the house was superb since it is nestled on the end side of a cul de sac giving my kids freedom to roam the yard, investigate the woods and bike ride out front without my having to worry about traffic. Masthope is beautiful and the house was far enough away from the ski area to afford quiet relaxation and beautiful hikes while only being a short ride to the fun and action of the slopes. My kids enjoyed the arcade and we had fun eating dinner at the full service bar located in the main lodge. The owners are very friendly and cool. They put alot of personal effort into ensuring that my needs were met and that I enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend renting this property for a weekend family getaway.

Summary: We truly enjoyed our weekend getaway in this beautiful house in Masthope last summer. The house is very comfortable, clean and spacious... we were supplied with everything we needed for a home away from home. The owner, Evan, is a pleasure to work with. Evan is easy to reach on his cell phone and very accommodating. The setting was perfect for relaxing in the wooded setting with deer wandering through the yard and at the same time we had access to wifi, cell service and cable tv when we wanted it. We really like that it's only a short walk from the house to have fun in the pool complex. We spent the weekend split between the lake and the pool. The lake was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the clean beach area, we fished off the pier and we borrowed kayaks from the community to paddle around the lake. The pool was just as much fun. We relaxed by the pool for hours, plenty of seating around the pool and a convenient tiki bar for drinks and food. We had a wonderful weekend away and would highly recommend your house to anyone looking to spend time in the Poconos. We look forward to visiting the area again and hope that this house is available when we do. Thank you Evan for a very pleasant experience.
