Positive: The condo was the perfect size for our family of 6. We cooked a few meals and had plenty of pots, pans, plates, etc. Also, the dishwasher worked well and the fridge had plenty of space. Spices were provided which was helpful.
Negative: The walls of the condo were thin. Often we could hear the neighbors talking. The family across the walkway from us had a young baby who cried most of the night. Even though we had no attached walls, it felt like they were right next door. Roosters are a part of Kauai...they will wake you up every morning when the sun rises.
Summary: Mauna Kai 8 was the perfect condo for our family!

Positive: Lots of kitchen appliances and neighborhood is quite and private
Negative: Found many bugs in rugs and very obvious lack of deep occasional deep cleaning. Asking for additional parking passes twice and it was the second request where I showed frustration, where they made it right and gave the extra passes.
Summary: Price was hook and you get what you pay for.
