Positive: The host was helpful and responsive. We appreciated her letting us check out one hour later. The location was convenient and the price was reasonable.
Negative: It was not explicit enough in the listing that we were only renting a single bedroom (with a double bed and a futon) and that the remainder of the property (including the kitchen, lounge and single bathroom) is intended to be shared with strangers who could be staying in the other bedrooms. For example, although there is a reference to a "shared bathroom" on booking.com, the website also says "each room includes a bath, shower and free toiletries." So we assumed we would have an ensuite bath/shower area and additionally there would be a shared bathroom elsewhere. This is not correct; there is only a single bathroom which all guests at the house share. The bathroom has been renovated and looks very nice. However the rest of the property is tired and dusty. There was rubbish in the garden (empty plastic bottles, painting equipment etc). There were a lot of cobwebs on the walls and in the corners and we removed a couple of spiders. The corrugated plastic conservatory roof leaked after it rained. The house just feels like it needs a bit more attention. Nevertheless it worked fine for us and for what we needed so thank you to the host.

Positive: Spacious room with shared bathroom (both nice and refurbished) and a very helpful host. Despite being close to a busy road, one barely hears the traffic due to the good windows. Overall a very comfy stay.
Negative: Unfortunately, not the best public transport access

Positive: I recently stayed at Maya Guest House for a week, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The location is excellent – five minutes walk to coldstore and 10 minutes walk to the park. Since I was there to help my daughter settle down for her study in the university, the house location was very Convenient to both city centre and Coventry university campus. The lady responsible for the accommodation was very attentive and always available to help, whether it was with recommendations or ensuring I had everything I needed. Her professionalism and kindness really made a difference. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Positive: Stayed here for 4 days and 4 nights. The host (Maya) was communicative and made me feel comfortable during my stay. I had a smooth check-in and check-out. The furniture is well maintained, the cleaning supplies and kitchenware was all in good order. It was my first time in Coventry and I felt very comfortable here. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a short-time stay near University of Warwick, or just generally in Coventry.
Negative: The gas stoves aren't electric, so if you're planning to cook, maybe get your own lighter/matches. Also the bathroom light would go off once a while. These were minor issues for me though and didn't bother me too much, but just points to note!
