The house is designed to stay an even 22degrees year round with the solar heating, double glazed windows and rammed earth walls.
Relax and unwind with a handcrafted cider, boutique beer or local wine in one of the sunloungers on the wraparound deck; entertain in the summer time with the real outdoor woodburner BBQ and dining area by the grapes or read a good book settled into one of the bean bags out of the afternoon heat in the cool of the adobe mudbrick walls.
Feed the eels at the bottom creek; head out for an evening flyfish in the world-renowned river 2 minutes walk at the bottom of the driveway; go for a hike in the Kahurangi National Park 15 minute drive up the back of the property; head out for a kayak from to Kaiteriteri 20 minute drive; explore the local mountain biking tracks; visit the local heritage pubs in the area; book a massage with the neighbouring therapist in the whitewashed straw-bale roundhouse by the walnut tree.
There are so many relaxation and recreational options both on the property and in the local area you may just need to visit more than once, in more than 1 season.

Summary: We had a lovely 9 day stay over the New Year period. It was nice to go to the beach or have day trips and return to such a peaceful place at the end of the day. We were blessed with beautiful evenings where we sat outside until dark. I highly recommend this property for a getaway.

Summary: Comfortable building in a private location with plenty of sheep set in close and distant views. Clean and tidy inside without being fussy, and great outdoor spaces . We were only there briefly and found wonderful walking nearby.

Summary: The homesite and location is picture perfect, secluded, nestled atop a hill but surrounded by pastures and mountains. It is quite far from any town for grocery or other needs so do plan ahead. Lots of walking on rural roads but no hiking trails as the property is amongst other farms limiting access to more hilly tracks. The home was neat and tidy upon arrival , had some staple items in the pantry but is in need of care , minor repairs and outdoor attention.
